Ecuador is pushing hard and has probably been the slightly better team.I'm not watching the match so I'm asking is Ecuador defending its 0-1 defeat so a draw will be enough for them against Senegal?

Wow this must be one of the worst calls I’ve seen in a WC. How is this called offside? And why no VAR? Or VAR is called upon only when we want to disallow goals?
It's an absolutely horrible call. At one point one should use common sense, GK wasn't interfered with one bit.VAR officials would have looked at it, they agreed with the call on the field. No reason to check it further. It a tough one but it's not a terrible call.
It doesn't really matter. The Ecuadorian was close enough to be a nuisance, so within the rule it's defensible. No it’s not a defensible call…the goalie’s like 7 feet tall and he saw the ball/play all the way, it was deflection by an onside player.
It doesn’t matter….. it matters that the goalie was screened. No it’s not a defensible call…the goalie’s like 7 feet tall and he saw the ball/play all the way, it was deflection by an onside player.
So it doesn’t matter that the goalie saw the play? You’re making no senseIt doesn’t matter….. it matters that the goalie was screened.
The player was standing in front of him. It doesn’t matter how tall he is which was your wild claim. So it doesn’t matter that the goalie saw the play? You’re making no sense
My tall comment was not to be taken literal dude it was to emphasize the clear fact that he obviously saw the entire play…The player was standing in front of him. It doesn’t matter how tall he is which was your wild claim.
But he didn’t. And that’s why it was called back. I don’t agree with it like I’ve said multiple times but to act like it’s some egregious call is a horrible take.My tall comment was not to be taken literal dude it was to emphasize the clear fact that he obviously saw the entire play…
It doesn't come down to sight. The offside player must be judged to have been part of the play. That's often interpreted as to whether the other team's players have to take account of the offside player and thus be affected in how they respond to the developing play. Since it's impossible to judge people's perceptions, location plays a key role in that. It's fairly defensible to say that a dude standing 2 yards away is someone you notice and someone who affects your attention and reaction. My tall comment was not to be taken literal dude it was to emphasize the clear fact that he obviously saw the entire play…
He didn’t? Is that why he was going towards the direction of the ball until it was redirected? CmonBut he didn’t. And that’s why it was called back. I don’t agree with it like I’ve said multiple times but to act like it’s some egregious call is a horrible take.
Yeah except I don’t see how the offside player had any bearing on the play of the goalie. Goalie was going towards the direction he judged from the kicked ball until it was ridirected. Unless you believe that every player close to goalie is an interference….It doesn't come down to sight. The offside player must be judged to have been part of the play. When it comes to offside, players that close to the goalkeeper are typically called offside. I don't think it's a 100% thing hence why I said defensible not correct or definitely right, but it's a classic case where it's not out of line with precedent. He didn’t? Is that why he was going towards the direction of the ball until it was redirected? Cmon

God damn man. Do you know how to read? I literally said I don’t agree with the call. It’s just that it wasn’t a horrible call. If the keeper hasn’t already moved, then it’s the right call. Since he moved it wasn’t. Ref was screened too though and either way it wasn’t a clear and obvious error which is the only time VAR is allowed to get involved. He didn’t? Is that why he was going towards the direction of the ball until it was redirected? Cmon
