Modric is one of my favourite players of all time. The smartest player on the pitch for the last 15 years in every game he played.

Croatia plays trap football and I've compared them to the recent Isles... a style impossible for me to cheer for.

I also don't cheer for Modric's club team, either, despite my wanting him to succeed personally.
