Lived for the next shift, baby! Bring on England!US had full control of that game. Berhalter didn't do enough to maintain the advantage after half.
Stu Holden

If you give a yellow there, there should have been one on Zimmerman for the challenge that resulted in the penalty (which on first look, I didn't even think was a penalty ).
I'm fine with no cards on either.
The one that was whining the entire time? Yeah, Stu Holden, analyst. Is that who I just heard? It's helpful to know all the names of people on the Tommy Heinsohn tier of broadcaster to avoid for life.
That’s reserved for real Brazil. How the f*** do you let Euro-Brazil tie it?
Should have been 7-1.
That’s reserved for real Brazil.
do people not have to go to work that they are at a viewing party lol
Ok trueThat’s reserved for real Brazil.
I disagree with you....no you dont.
Zimmerman got ball, and then Bale (smartly) bungled over his foot. Thats a dumb penalty, but Zimmerman made a play on the ball and succeeded. To be clear, its sitll a penalty - you never put your leg between a defenders in the box.
The welsh player didnt play the ball at all - clipped a trailing leg of a breaking player. Cynical, Late, and no attempt on ball. Thats about as clear a yellow as you can get in open play.
I disagree with you.
Ack. I guess I'll explain because I'm fine with the interpretation made by the ref in both cases.I mean, that's fine, i guess. But by letter of law the one should have been a card and the other shouldnt have.

Zimmerman didn't get the ball first (I originally thought he did). A tackle from behind, in the box, denying a goal scoring opportunity, is arguably a yellow. I'm fine with just a penalty there.
Aaronson was fouled late. It was in open play and, while he was moving the ball up the pitch, he wasn't pushing an attack; he was actually pushing out wide, slowing the build up, when he was fouled. Certainly an arguable yellow; fine with just being a foul. Plenty of similar fouls aren't carded and they don't need to be.
Zimmerman clips Bale's foot on the way to the ball.Zimmerman 100% got ball first. His knee then went against the inner portion of Bales calf as he extended through the poke. Bale smartly collapsed after the challenge.

Aaronson was running in a diagonal in front of the Welsh player for an angle around the circle driving towards the half line with a wide space in front of him. It was clearly the build of an attack. Note the player behind him and the half line in the background which would be not far from Aaronsons position if it wasnt cut from the frame. View attachment 610849
