You are quoting a post that brought up two good things vs a turnover and you're all up in arms. Pointing out the goods and bads leads to an actual objective analysis as opposed to wearing rose colored glasses and willingly choose to ignore the bad plays.

Slafkovsky played a good game overall today but made a mistake that caused a turnover that lead to goal. Shit happens.
Im totally aware of his turnover, he had another bad one in defensive zone exit, still, the good largely outweight the bad and I prefer a kid trying hard than another floating and refusing to take charge of the action. Those are minor issues there, nothing not fixable.

Lol Slafkovsky couldn’t do anything against Germany. Needs to play non-hockey countries like France to have an impact.

That’s the type of argument you would use for Shane Wright, Goldenhands. I’m just glad others are catching on to your nonsense.

Honestly I wasn't impressed with anyone notable (but it's only 1 game). Slaf had a tendancy to float in his own zone. I didn't watch the 1st period so my viewing isn't as complet as others. Besides a few instances where he made good plays, not amazing, just noticeably solid plays, he didn't really do much. I don't know why he's being placed where he was on the PP. Added absolutely nothing but that's probably on the coach more than the player.

Same goes with Nemec. Yes, I'll call out prospects I like, he wasn't a turnover machine, far from it but did have a few turnovers. His exits were good. But nothing eye popping. Again like I said it's just one game but from what I saw, nothing made me think, "HuGo is really gonna consider these guys at 1"

I hear Harris has not shown the US coaches enough to let him play?
A bunch of teenagers are good enough but a 4 year NCAA player isn't? Hmmm

Have you looked at the US roster?
Handful of NHLers, Jones and Schmidt on D

Andrew Peeke is a NHLer.
Megna is a NHLer.

Hughes is a 4th overall.

Then it's between him and Blankenburg who did well with CBJ at year end.

I expect Blankenburg to sit for Merrill (who's an NHLer) anyway.

Will Canada add players from eliminated teams, even an OHL kid like Wright ?

No assist for Jiricek on that play, but the zone entry started with his pass and strong neutral zone play. It's been a bit of a quiet game for him until now, but that was a nice sequence.
