Swiss have some real skilled guys on their team. Even the ones who haven't made much of an impact were impressive IE Diem.

Granted, I only saw the third period but the general impression was not that impressive. No single player stood out in a bad or good way. Just meh..I believe they can play a lot better than this, that is all.

Except for maybe Sanheim, I liked what I saw there
 
The Swedish D has combined for 13 of our 30 goals.

Nylander's been involved on 50% of the goals.
 
Nylander is dynamite. Top5 here he comes.

he was rested in the 2nd period and still scored 4 points, lol.

It wasn't just the third. The D didn't stand out other than Sanheim. The top 2014's were non-existent; are they really missing Point that much?

The grinders and 2015's were Canada's best players.
 
Just came home from Lappeenranta. Swedes played perfect game, no mistakes. It is really weird that swedish players look much more muscular than finnish players, but they still skate pretty fast. I hope finnish juniors will be same one day. Finnish national junior teams also need good coaches like Kivi. Urama is so bad, feels like he is just watching not coaching.

Nylander was on fire, he did what he want. Whereas finnish top prospect Kapanen was bad, he lost pucks and produced absolutely nothing.

Best thing was that I saw Karri Kivi and Harri Rindell in arena. And I saw dude scouting who looked just like Craig MacTavish, maybe it was Craig himself.

What a tournament for the Czechs! Jakub Vrana rippin it up. Think he has the most goals in the tourney so far. I'm sure he'll go first round now. That Czech-Canada game is gonna be sweet
 
How on earth did we beat the swedes in U20 final, if this is the gap between our programs? It had to be really a one hit wonder........ Also I think the Kapanen vs Nylander discussion can be set aside. Nylander is top 3 pick. Kapanen is a second rounder and I mean it. What has he actually ever done to be rated so high? Below average points in in mens league and average points in juniors. The only quality resembling a top pick is his lazy and cocky behaviour in the ice. Only reason he is playing in Finnish elite league is because his father owns the team. A bad player with a bad attitude. Not a leader in any way.

Right, the U20 team had team full of regular SM-Liiga/CHL players while U18 team had 2 players who are SM-Liiga regulars with Kapanen and Rantanen.
96' is just an bad age group. Especially for d-man, don't read too much into it.
