yes. I believe they were leading by 2 goals going into the third. was a tough game but Canada pulled through.

BTW, have you seen a Canadian AAA midget team play? 15-17 year old boys/men at the AAA level are something for even the best women to reckon with.

I was making a point to the mod who ripped on the US for losing to a top high school team (15-18 year old boys/men).

What an awesome game! This was a huge upset and in Sweden's favor for a change! Kim Martin was stellar in goal, absolutely incredible today! Had to celebrate with some ice cream, still can't believe this happened! Totally awesome! :D

Did you know that Stefan Liv practiced with the girls yesterday as Kim rested due to injury. Pernilla Winberg was one of the girls who practiced shootouts on Liv, guess if that payed off. ;)

First time i rooted swedes in hockey :) Best part of the game was when referee gave ruggiero second shootout chance and she missed it :biglaugh: She was acting like hockeygoddess whole game ,yelling to own players whole game :biglaugh: Gongrats to swedes :clap:

She has a bad habit of having that mouth moving a little too much at times.
 
Last time I checked a team leader is supposed to be yelling to her teammates, that's part of being a leader. I also have to say that based on the comments and attitude of most Canadiens around this thread I will be wearing my Sweden jersey the day of the gold medal game.

I always laugh when people claim not to care about something so much that they have to write about it. :biglaugh: Canada's women don't choke? 2005 WC's 4-0 38gf 0ga and then lose in a shootout after a 0-0 regulation? More laughs. Stick to complaining about big, mean America. :biglaugh:

Poor guys,poooooooor U.S.A hockey.Everyone's pickin on them :cry:

go buy that Sweden shirt pal..........................no-one here cares.You guys don't do us any favors around here. When they can take shots at Canuck hockey they do it but then go run off when their team stinks it up and expect us to root for them.
