I don't watch Women's hockey often so am not sure what the standard is for contact and holding players up. o checking does not mean no contact bit it is hard to get a feel for it from this game.

It’s kind of like soccer.

Shoulder to shoulder is fine when both players are in motion. You can also pin players against the boards.

You just can’t lay players out.

How feasible would it be for the NHL to run a womens league?

there are 2 leagues runnings, and they are not popular at all, it would help if the NHL could give their endorsement but I am guessing they would have to combine their leagues, even than the NHL would probably not want to get involved seeing how it is not profitable and I am sure they would not want to put any money towards it.

That's how they play. Just like the men, they push the line of what's legal and what isn't. It's not like there's 15 illegal checking penalties every game.

What's the PR value of running a Toronto centred bus league with 6 teams?

Probably not enough to make up for what they would lose.
