I hate blaming anyone for a loss,but the American goalie let in 2 brutally soft goals.Canada's goalie was fantastic.That was the difference
Had to beat some questionable refereeing but a solid performance by Canada to get the gold.
Poulin I assume is finished added this. Cannot imagine at 36 she’s going to come back but she probably won’t say it for a few weeks
Lol yeah especially after the 3rd goal I thought this was going to be a blowout but the team looked a bit sloppy afterwards. Hey they still won so it doesn't matter whether it's 3-2 or 10-0

Canada were in cruise control 3-0 up and all over the USA. The short-handed goal to end the second really changed everything. Canada should have kept on pushing, instead of sitting back. Game wasn't that close for 40 minutes.

Even though the US made a nice push the last 10 mins or so, this is one of the very few times that I wasn't all that nervous that Canada wouldn't pull it out. Usually watching Canada vs US women's games I'm always worried, but this Canadian team looked so good and comfortable that I wasn't too worried for them in this game.
I just wonder how many more Olympics before they threaten to remove this if it continues to be US/Canada every time. That’s sort of how softball got booted

USA had the best defense in the tournament but lacked the high end skill of previous cycles. It says something when you routinely dominate possession but lack finish in almost every game like the US did.Canada was just clutch the entire tournament. USA struggled scoring against Canada and Finland despite all their chances. At least I won't have a heart attack watching another OT game/shootout.
The 13 seconds was a great homage to the Bills.
This Canada/USA rivalry is too good to be booted even if every other country is playing for bronze.
