That was their reasoning and I'm not joking. That's exactly what they said, they picked Gaudreau out of loyalty.

Gaudreau is f***ing terrible and just sunk us. What we deserve for taking him over Rousseau just cause of a U18 tournament.

I do feel bad for him with that 5th goal. The first four is a lot of Canada standing around and not taking the man but hopefully people don't vilify Gaudreau for a round robin game where his team hasn't done well in front of him.

In their own zone it's ugly. They thought they were just going to play in the other end all tourney. Good wakeup call.
