Really trying hard to not to head over to the WJC section.

The American posters over there are exhibiting some severe selective memory. Galchenyuk has been invisible.

American posters or Habs fans?

Sorry I worded that poorly.

Habs fans are being bad about Galchenyuk; I meant for that to be a separate statement. US posters in general are overreacting and simply misunderstanding some of the roles and talent levels of these players.

As an American poster, I never expected this US team to beat Canada. Before the lockout, I'd say it was pretty even and it could go either way, but now with RNH, Scheifele, Eberle, etc... I can't see it happening. Is it possible? Of course, but I'd say it's a 25% chance. I'm an American, but I don't have blinders.

Although given the fact that we kept it to 2-1 against both Russia and Canada, if we are able to pull out a win tomorrow and advance to the elimination rounds, I see no reason why this team can't squeak out a win against either team, although we'd probably be playing Finland or Sweden in the first round.

Honestly, some of the most ridiculous overreacting I've ever seen. If you had told me pre-tourney the US would lose 2-1 to Russia and Canada I would definitely not have been happy but also would not be surprised at all.

I really like JT Miller even though USA struggled against Canada. He was smooth out there on the PP in the 2nd period imo. Just love how he is wiling to go to the dirty areas and stand in front of the net. He reminds me a lot of Dubinsky.

he deserves that 5 minute major. Disgusting play. Do that in the NHL, you're going to get ****ed for years.

Watching NHL Network commercials angers me just a bit. Still going on with their commercialism and bullcrap.

Despite aforementioned flaws, I can really see the real raw potential that Seth Jones has and has been raved about. He, still being only 17, certainly has a very long way to go, but has the goods that could really be something special in 5-10 years

I've gone from USA and Slovakia to Sweden and Finland and now Canada and Russia. That's the most hockey I've had since the playoffs.

Had the game on the DVR instead of waking up to watch it this morning, stopped watching at 6-2 since it was so one-sided. Nice to see that they pulled it off when I went to check the final score ;)

Thankfully not relegated this year. If Gibson gets real hot, even though he has been all tourney, but if he turns it on EVEN MORE, he could carry the US to a medal game,
