That was because of the holiday restrictions. The entire league was technically still under a holiday break and teams can't require players to do anything on that day. So they got an unfair advantage by getting into town early when other teams that played Tuesday had to travel the day of.

At this point, the crossover is looking like a nightmare anyways. A loss might be good for us. The odds of us going undefeated in pool play have to be around 1%.lol
 
Looking forward to this one. I will root for the Czechs but won't be too upset if Sweden wins, mainly because there's a good chance that would teach Czechboy some well-needed humility and modesty when it comes to medal expectations for Czechs. Not sure if I've ever seen such an arrogant hockey fan thinking so highly of his national team's chances. :sarcasm:

On a serious note.. A likely Swede win gives Canada a really good chance at winning the pool and erasing that Day 1 loss. It also gives the Swedes a real good chance at winning the pool. This game has a lot of ranking implications to it. I'm not stressed at all.
 
Meanwhile in Sweden, 03:36 into the Stockholm derby :D If not for the World Juniors this is a game Lindbom, Östlund, Öhgren, Lekkerimäki, Odelius and Dvorsky would have played, lots of talent missing

That Swede knocked Sapo off the puck like NOTHING... haven't seen that. That is Sapo's thing

Svozil is behind the Swede net more than the Swede D.lol

Some nice chances from our bottom 6 guys and a great Suchanek save.
