Nothing like waking up bright and early and watching Kazakhstan and Denmark!

Hoping it'll be an entertaining game, and we see a bit more bite from both teams. Sogaard needs to play a lot better, and I'd like to see more shots from the Kazak but you know maybe there's something to keeping a goalie super cold and reverse corsi-ing the chances to only the best opportunities. It's doubtful, but interesting.

Worked for Denmark the last 5 WJC :)

Would be sad to see Denmark leaving the top tier but honestly there isn't much talent in the pipeline right now so next year will be even tougher. I thought more of Jonas Rondbjerg, he made the WJC as an double underage in 2017 but hasn't really improved, especially from last year

Danes should be stronger next year if they stay, and I expect them to stay.

Seems like "by far the worst WJC team in a decade" is better than Denmark, at least.

No, they are not going to be stronger next year. Maybe in two years, if/when Marcus Almquist is ready and continues his development.

Yes they should be, they are returning a good number of players plus their top prospects Brinkman and Sogaard will be a year older and better.

Well after a terrible start by Denmark they have righted the ship, dominating in shots again, just some have to start going in, you think they will since Kazak goalie likely does not have another performance in him like last game.

Well yeah, Brinkman and Sogaard are returnees, but then again, Rondbjerg and Setkov leaves, that is a second and a six(?) rounder, to be competitive they need both gamebreaking talent and some ok depth, right now there isn't anyone really intresting breaking through apart from a few u19 players playing in the swedish system.

What sucks is that, even though it wasn't much of a golden generation, Kazakhstan's golden generation was the 99 group. So they will get curb stomped far worse next year than they did this year.

It's already an accomplishment for them to stay among elites for another year. No shame in whatever happens next year, they already exceeded expectations.

I never insinuated otherwise, but fans typically don't like to see funny scores, and you will see that next year.
