This tournament is gonna be his coming out party to a lot of people. He has shown more poise, confidence, and awareness with the puck with every single touch than anyone else has at any point in the game so far.

They literally talked about a late hit penalty being instituted this tournament at the start of the game.

And besides, even if you look past that, Comtois really struggles with not toeing the line with his board play. So him throwing an after-play hit already could spiral.
