GDT: WJC, NYE, Canada vs Germany, 1:30 EST

Yes.

I've never fell from getting my hands hooked, but I guess that only happens when you're an NHL player.

He fell from the cross check on top of the pants. Defensemen learn pretty early that’s a good way to knock a guy off balance. Mid stride, skating towards the boards, most guys are losing their footing.

Canada is not looking good, yes they're heavily outshooting Germany but there's no finish here. Especially after coming off a 2-0 loss you'd expect this team to demolish Germany to make up for it. Not impressed, but alas we've seen Canada look mediocre going into the playoffs before and then end up winning it all so we'll see..

Yes, but it really seemed like there wasn't enough force to throw someone off thar much.

Just seemed odd

It's a very underwhelming Canada team tbh. It's fine, can't have great rosters every single year. They can still compete for gold if they get the right bounces, but that's not a team that gives confidence.

The offensive players are all lackluster except for Celibrini. Dumais, Yager, Minten. These guys should be depth for this team or even guys who are snubbed.

Vanilla is the best word to describe those guys and so many others.

Ah, so now you're saying the exact opposite of your original argument against me.

You want North American hockey to use European standards.

Fair enough. I don't, but I can understand someone who wants less hitting.
Californians think that North America is like Medieval England and Europe is a futuristic utopia. lol It's a very consistent train of thought.

Dumais is bad.

Has this game any meaning for Canada in regards of their quarter finals opponent?

For how much Canada has the puck and for how little zone time Germany has had, Canada isn't generating enough shots on net.
