I think we just paved the way for a US vs Sweden final. Time will tell. uS are very good and have a nice path to the finals with no Canada or Sweden in their way.

Maybe we get an all European final? We haven't had one of those in a long while.

I'm not going to blame the players or the coaches. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

I can guarantee you these kids gave it their all. Imagine them together from age 16 for a couple of years. Heck, that can be said for most teams in this tournament.

Can't believe some morons are trying to blame the goalie. TC needs to be swarming the CZE O zone at the end of the game, not getting bottled up in their D zone. The lack of offensive execution was at fault, not the goaltending.

It's typical of Canada. Soon enough we'll hear that the goalie was too short or too thin.
Cause the goalie was to blame for the consistent sloppy coverage by the D or the DS inability to breakout with speed. Or the F's who misses the net repeatedly or the wide obvious pass. It's all the goalie obviously.

Man even forgot that he had more than one goalie. Lmao. Who plays someone as mid as Rousseau both games of a back to back? Last goalie to start all games for Canada was Price in 2007. And Rousseau ain't no Price.

Mateychuk was good at times, meh at others. No one else on the Canadian defense really impressed me. Other than Celebrini and Rehkopf, most of the forward group wasn't impressive. Allard was fine in his role and Danielson showed flashes (he will be a good middle 6 option but unsure he has the finishing to be a consistent top 6 C in the NHL) but it was a down year for Canada. Wish Molendyk was healthy, he's so fun to watch when he gets revved up.

I wanted to see US crush Canada but this is a good consolation. Hockey Canada made too many odd roster choices for my taste.

In a tight 3-2 game I think one bad goal certainly stands out. I wouldn't call any of Hrabels goals bad and he stood tall when Canada was pushing for a while in the 2nd.

He also didn't have to make amazing saves either, due to pretty good defensive coverage and/or collective lack of skill from Canada.
