I didn't see them play this aggressive so far in this tournament. I'm not even against aggressive neutral zone play but Czechia gambled.

Czechs were trying to win 2-0 or 2-1 IMO.

They basically turtled in their own zone.

They will regroup during the intermission.

Sets up a good 3rd.

They did the opposite. Which is why Canada was able to dominate the period.

They should have sat back and defended their line to deny Canada quality zone entries. Had they done that it would have forced Canada to dump and chase or into lots of turnovers on zone entries.

Instead, Czechia kept on gambling in the neutral zone. They always stepped up trying to force turnovers. Up against an opponent trying to fly your zone that's a dangerous thing to do.
