I think it's self inflicted, not inevitable. Canada went all out flying the zone yet still Czechia didn't adjust. I think they should have been less aggressive in the neutral zone and sat back, defended the line, their own zone instead. Czech forecheck gambling, being too aggressive led to lots of easy zone entries, quality chances, lots of possession for Canada. I still don't get why Czechia felt the need to do that.

Beyak is a bit more nasal than Miller but yeah, there is a little bit of similarity there. Granted, watching so many of these tournaments and they are easier to tell apart. Gunna miss Beyak.

Canada stepped up beautifully and did what they had to do. It's been impressive.

I hear you on switching tactics... Czexhs teams are noticeably more aggressive now and I actually prefer it.

Czechs were trying to win 2-0 or 2-1 IMO.

They basically turtled in their own zone.

They will regroup during the intermission.

Declined for personal reasons.. we lost 3 important D. Dvorak, jiricek and port.

I was critical of the Owen Allard selection but he hasn't been a problem at all for Canada. In fact I have liked his game at time. Certainly won't be the reason Canada wins or loses, but been a decent cog.

Canada should win this one easily, but this team has shown they don't do anything easily.

Hopefully this is the game that they start clicking and the coaching staff wakes up and plays some real lines.

Canada can NEVER do anything easy, including today.
