I have seen this happen many times before. The TV broadcast clock is not sync with real clock
I remember seeing similar situations like this, but even so, from puck drop to the puck crossing the line more than 2 seconds passed.

Their numbers aren’t practically identical. Not even close.
2.59 vs. 2.22 GAA
.905% vs. .898%

Vali allows less goals against, and the difference in their SV% is 0,07%

How are they not even close?

Timing by hand from that video it definitely took longer than 1,7 seconds for the goal, I'm getting a consistent 2,20 seconds.

2.29 & .895 vs 2.36 & .906 0.11 difference is a big difference

With the sample size provided, they are actually close.
2,29 GAA89,49% in 13 games
2,36 GAA90,64% in 10 games
That save percentage isn’t close

Germany loss was on Kokko.
It was about Lassila and Salin.
Lassila lost crucial puck-drop and Salin lost his own man all that about 1,5 seconds.

What is dmans job when the puck is in A class goal-scoring sector?
Clear the puck out of the net and goal-scoring sector before opponents forwards.

Salin is total mickey-mouse in defence who cannot defend even his own shadow.

It's obvious that the clock on the screen is not the same as the official clock, and it's also obvious that there must've been a decent bit more than 1,7 seconds left on the clock. By that logic there was nothing wrong with that goal.

But the issue is that the players will also think there's only 1,7 seconds left. How the Finns will defend that situation can change massively even if there's even a tiny bit more time left on the clock.

Why are we having so much difficulties with simple breakouts.
Because we have literally zero defenders able to skate the puck out, only thing Slovakia needs to do is to limit passing opportunities and we’re stuck.

Slovakia seems to be carrying the play for the most part, but the Finns have put together a few solid O zone shifts in a row now.

Finns certainly don't look like the 70/30 favorite in this one, but things can change quickly.

This feels like a bit of a throwback matchup, with Slovakia having some high end talent and Finland being the world’s greatest “underdog” doing their best to smother them
