Slovakia should have been better. Dvorsky did not do enough.Very even, entertaining game. Could've gone either way.
Yeah. For a #10th overall pick Dvorsky seemed pretty invisible outside his goal.Slovakia should have been better. Dvorsky did not do enough.
That's about as salty as it gets, message after message. And it shouldn't have been. Finland is mediocre with no good players.
Add Männistö on that group.A MASSIVE victory for Finland and a massive achievement to this age class. What a goal by Lassila, that's how captain should play!
And let's not forget Naukkis Naukkarinen! Lot of dirty work in this game and almost scored a goal. I hope the rest of the team grows for the semifinal, like Naukkarinen did for this.
Two more games like this, Lassila and Naukkarinen won't go undrafted next summer.
Yeah, he is undrafted too, i forgot that. 4th line been very consistent through out the tournament. Dare i say that Bau has mörkö-potential, couple goals in next 2 games would be fitting.Add Männistö on that group.
But this age group won Finland in Hlinka and U18 Worlds. We got the last laugh.During last 15 years in different age groups Finland has faced Slovakia 33 times. Finland has won 30 of those games. Crazy.
You can't delay it indefinitely. Plus there's obligations to ticket buyers. So what. You just delay the game if necessary.
So what. You just delay the game if necessary.
It wasn't salty loss on you guys.Salty loss in an even game. Expected a bit more from us tbh, I think the roster was there to medal, even to gold in one of these years if stars would align. There was definitely a bit more to be desired from this age group with plenty of talent. Things just didn't always go our way.
For me it's a failing grade to the coaching staff around Fenes. Excited nonetheless by the individuals likely making NHL teams and hopefully we'll get to see this generation in a senior international tournament with best on bet one day.
Is that based only IIHF worlds or does Finland's 2-0 win in Beijing winter Olympics semifinal count too?During last 15 years in different age groups Finland has faced Slovakia 33 times. Finland has won 30 of those games. Crazy.
