2-2 after 2. Should be a great 3'rd period. May the winner progress quickly to the finals. May the loser take a longer road. Here's too a rematch in the finals, my Canadian friends.

Canada wins with an empty netter. Cheap shot by JJ. I'm proud of our boys, down 0-2 playing two nights in a row, on the road and fought back to basically a 2-2. I meant what I wrote above. I hope we meet again in the finals. :cheers

Why would the us pull the goalie in a tie game? Have I missed something?

I'm so let down by the end of this game. Between that goal and that pathetic elbow by JJ, I feel sick.

Because they needed the win to avoid the quarter-finals.

A tie was a loss for them.

Great game but it ended on a sour note. Johnson should be out for the next game; that was a vicious elbow.

If Downie hadn't went down, you could barely see if he even got hit. Terrible view.

Have to say that the officials kind of let that type of anger build up. Canada and US were nailing each other well after the play was over all night long.

Even game. Hopefully there will be a rematch.

Kind of sad to see Canada win on that.

Definitely. Hope there's a rematch.

That was a really stupid play by Jack Johnson, but it could have been a lot worse. I haven't seen a close up replay of it yet, but it looks like he didn't catch Downie full-on. Really stupid move nonetheless.

I know, that was almost as bad as the US sucks chant.

It was warranted with that cheap shot.

I know if a Canadian player pulled that crap in the US, we would be hearing "Canada Sucks" chants. :teach:
