I'm really disappointed in how quiet the Vancouver fans have been. Is this what happens when they move this event to bigger markets from smaller places like Halifax and Winnipeg? They'd better get off their hands from here on in because they've been no advantage to Canada whatsoever.

--I agree with both statements. The coaching staff needs to scout the next official and go over their tendancies. They can't take dumb penalties against the us.

i'm more of a reader than a poster on HF but i cannot believe the officiating i just witnessed. I thought the german ref in the swiss game was putrid but this guy outdid him. unbelievable.
canada is clearly Offensively challenged - they need to shoot and crowd the net for ugly goals..too many rebounds are being left to the opposing D to clear - the PP also needs work..big itme..

That is 2 games we have had plenty of shots, not many goals. COuld be more... So is it hot goalie 2 games in a row or lack of scorers.

Hysteria is on. Enough is enough. I guess IIHF should fine TSN or even dump them. I am sure CBC would do a much better job, only because there is no Pierre the whine Mcquire.
canada is also making the goalies look good..not getting any screen shots...not doing enough down low..too many of these perimeter shots and shots from the D backed up against the blue line
the kind of things that happened at the end of the game could have been avoided so easily. The crowd got into the mix and booed the ref, coaches lost their calm. Now, luckily nobody is suspended but what if Barker of some other guy would have been tossed out for a brawl against Norway for christ's sake.

average game by the ref?? hmm sounds like a compliment. let's see 30+ minor penalties --- that would equal close to 1 every 2 minutes or less...where is the flow in the game? when a ref calls it like that for both teams, he is clearly making it about him, and taking the game away from the players. that's not hockey, that's an incompetent ref with an ego problem
