Danielson, Beck, Allard needs more ice time and that’s not something I expected to say coming into the tournament.

They’re dominating out there.

Another pretty poor period but we come away up 1 so have to take it,

It would be nice if the so-called top players decided to show up today. Outside of Mateychuk I don't think any of the guys you would expect to lead the team have been any good.

I feel like they are one of the few lines with an identity.
It helps that both Danielson and Beck can play well offensively at this level as well. Allard is there to make the big checks and get the puck back

Decent game so far. Canada needs to continue with a heavy forecheck, the Finnish D weren’t overly great skaters from what I’ve seen and struggled when Canada was getting pressure and hits on them (see the second goal). I didn’t like when they got away from that.

The ice seems really bad, so many guys falling untouched.

Lots of areas to clean up for Canada, more urgency being near the top of the list.

Both goalies have played really well.

Much better period for Finland, was better for most of the period. Should be a good third, each team now has a template for what it needs to do.

Both teams but especially Finland seem a bit nervous too. Entertaining hockey nonetheless. Getting a PP goal early on in the tournament is great news. Gotta stay out of the box and keep grinding.
