I’m loving the salt of Subban. Here’s a quote from a TSN article:

“But I think there’s some frustration on our side when things happen on the ice and they get one, two, three, four, five different shots at guys after the whistle and stuff like that. Poke at our goaltender. That’s not the reason that we lost, but those things can be frustrating. And then they called two penalties at the end on us. But we have to be better-disciplined.”

“Subban, appearing to contradict himself, insinuated that the referees were biased in favour of the Jets.
“I mean, I’m not going to comment on the officiating,” Subban said, “but I’m standing at the faceoff, I get a shot in the back of the head five times or a shot in the shoulder and I’ve just got my stick on the ice. You know, I wonder if I do that, what happens? If I give [Mark] Scheifele a couple shots like that, I don’t know.””

The irony of Subban complaining about the Jets getting away with stuff. Whine a little more you big baby

Subban had his stick on the ice because it was Buff. If it had been someone else he would have been the one doing it.

So many fans of other teams complain about their teams being mentally fragile and weak which makes this win even more enjoyable! To know that this group has amazing mental fortitude is just frightening and allows them to consistently play to their potential! So impressed with this group :D

Montreal where he was booed by his own fans for being black I guess.

****ing moron taking the controversial stance to get attention.

The worst kind of media *****e.

Go ask Kevin Weekes how he feels getting a banana thrown at him in Montreal That is racism.

PK is just unlikeable. I have even defended him so much in the past but I am past the breaking point.

Its people looking at the series without having watched the team much.
Booing players of the opposing team is completely equal opportunity.
It isn't the colour of the player's skin it is their rattish behaviour.

In Van they have Stanley Cup Rewind scheduled on Sportsnet1 at 10am Pacifuc time. It doesn't specify which game but good chance it's Jets Perds

OMG ... I could not stop laughing when I heard Subban complaining about the refs after the game. It would be perfect if the refs start calling him for all the infractions he commits.

Host for the Montreal tsn radio show is tweeting crap that we boo subban because he is black. @mckennaconor

there is actually a black woman giving him the gears right now about how this shill has made no comment about how Buff was getting booed in Nashville, it's making him look like a real tool. I give her a lot of credit, she is calling the guy out all over the place

That is 100% the point I have been trying to make the whole time. He's insignificant. Sure, when we get Army and Perreault back they will allow us to play our 4th line more which is good, but the amount of *****ing about Hendricks like he somehow caused us to lose that game in OT was hilarious.

He is a bandaid due to injuries, that's it.

It's significant because he's being used as a regular PKer and Nashville is carving up that PK group. Subban's goal last night was all on Hendricks not being able to move fast enough to transition high to low, leaving him twisting in the slot as the play progressed. Nobody else I've seen play PK for us this year has that problem.

It's cost the Jets at least two goals this series (Subban in game 2 and 3). It's significant.

They were down 3-0 against the PT winner and it didn't even feel like the crowd was overly nervous.

There was so much time left.

Then to rebound after they tie it up. Awesome.

That truly is disgusting ... the media still pushing it's fake news for their agenda.
As a person PK is a nice and likeable guy but as a hockey player he is one the the most hated players in the league with all the BS he does on the ice. It has nothing to do with his color but we all know this already.

Tanev outscoring Ehlers and Laine in the playoffs, lol.....
We're just getting started.
Have to love how Tanev has come along. He works extremely hard out there, so it's not too surprising that he's starting to get results. He's become an integral part of the team's success.

I think people should be booing Ryan Johansen instead. I hate him more, anyway (it's totally irrational, but I still grit my teeth thinking of that ASG breakaway challenge).

Or Ryan Ellis with his giant pants. Buddy, even if you wear size XL, nobody's gonna think you're taller than 5'9".

I actually really like PK Subban. But part of that is despising his antics when he plays the Jets, and relishing in his pouting.

Are there any reports out there about the quality of ice at MTS Place? I thought there were more puck bobbles compared to normal.

In general Bell MTS Place is purported to be one of the best surfaces in the league (voted in the top 3 in the NHLPA players' poll). Haven't seen any reports of how it was last night. There was a lot of carbon dioxide in that room.

The turning point of this game was the Watson hit on Wheeler. Woke the boys up and from there on out we controlled play for long stretches. Hopefully they don't forget about it next game.

Lots of people are saying that. While it's nice to have something emotional to rally around, I think the Jets were already moving their feet better, hence Watson feeling the need to take a run in the D zone.

same thing happened against MIN. It's funny because Buff looks like he let's up in his hits and kind of glides into it not at 100% full-speed. I think it was Maurice saying if he really tried hitting while skating and with momentum he might actually kill a guy

Kypreos--who, let's not mince words, is full of shit the vast majority of the time--likens it to a baseball swing (or a golf swing, if you prefer)--it's not necessarily the power you put in it, it's how cleanly you connect on it. Whether you can get it in the sweet spot. He thinks that Byfuglien is putting everything in those hits, just being economical about it.

  • Wonder how many people will give Myers credit as one of the guys who actually helped drive the comeback. Man the guy has his warts but there is still a lot to like there.

Will this do?:

Jets vs Preds Round 2 - Game 3 - May 1st, 7pm - "Not a General Strike"

I will also say that Myers's game doesn't change a lot, so he's a excellent player to have around when you need a bunch of offense.

First!

Woooo! 7 ...&!@%$ ...4! That was the best 2nd period I had ever seen the Jets play. When fired up they can score at will. The synchronism of each player to eachother is at an all time perfection. They tried to knock off Wheeler a couple of times there but were unable to stop the inevitable onrush. Onto the next game!
Conflicted, you made quite a haul on Sportsbook. Well done!

Yup.

WFP had a decent comment on this inevitable nonsense from a borderline functioning human being. Booing Subban does not make someone racist any more than cheering Buff makes them not racist.

Great White North eh...
After that first period I said that the Jets need to forget about it and just win the next period and then the last one. The pressure should be off, because no one's expecting them to win now. Sounds like Maurice went in after the first and said something similar. I think I should be coach.:sarcasm:
I wasn't ready to write the game off with 40 minutes left to play.
