The Habs need to string a few wins together starting with the game today. The standings are getting really tight and most teams below them have games in hand on the Habs.

I'm most excited to see Carey Price down the final stretch here. I've been saying it's been the coach the entire stretch where his stats and play dropped. I want him to show me I'm right as he should benefit more then any Habs player, which is important because he's our best player. Hopefully the team can respond to this coaching change and give the fans hope again.

Yeah, we suck at afternoon games AND coming back from the bye week. Not sure the boost we get from the coaching change will compensate.

Result for this game is meaningless, IMO. We'll know better in 4-5 games.

Important thing is for people not start panicking if we lose a game or two at the start. It's a new coach in mid February. Doesn't matter if a few other teams got a couple wins to start this year. It's a process.

It's really not. At least Byron hustles, is a tenacious forechecker and has ridiculous speed. Obviously it's not ideal and it absolutely should not be a long-term solution and hopefully we can acquire a winger at the deadline to fill that spot, but it's not as bad as DD being there imo.
