I'm, like most, excited for today's game. But we should also remember that the full Julien effect will be felt in a week or two as the new coach slowly starts to tinker with the system and the player usage.

But the combination of the coaching change and the 5-day beak makes this feel like the start of the season when you watch and hear and read non-stop coverage on the team and you're just anxiously waiting for the first game to start.

Its weird that the Jets dont do better than that with such a good Lineup!! I know their goaltending is suspect, but you should be able to make the playoffs when you have: Laine-Scheiffle-Ehlers-Wheeler-Little-Perrault-Byfuglien-Trouba in your lineup!! They play such an undisciplin brand of hockey from what i see

Don't know how the game will go, but I get the feeling the boys desperately want to bury the Jets 8-0 as a statement.

The defensive zone systems are a complete mess and entirely outdated. Coaching in general is downright dreadful - Likely worse than Therrien's if you want to believe it. We will likely see Julien completely outcoaching the opposition in this game already, which will be good for the team when it comes to gaining confidence in their new coach.

I'm really looking forward to this game. Two of my favorite teams to watch this season and I'm extremely curious to see how Habs are going to look under Julien.

BTW, you forgot Tyler Myers, as well.

I feel the same way. Such a good roster. They play fast and they're also big and play hard. I don't see a reason why they haven't been successful.

I think they would also benefit from a coaching change. They are not out of the race yet. At the moment, they are 4 points out of a Wild Card spot but are the team that has played the most games in the NHL with 60. Today will be Game 61 for them.

I think that if they miss the playoffs or get eliminated in the first round, Paul Maurice will probably be one of the coaches fired this off-season.

Funny GDT! Well done Morrocan. Woke up this morning wondering what this GDT would look like actually. It makes me wonder just how many of the players are posting incognito on this board. Go :habs go! Winnipeg is struggling but Laine is definitely not struggling. Pleasure to see him play too.

They're a team that could benefit from a Therrien type coach imo. Gallant could do wonders for them too. Their players are too good offensively to dry off because of a defensive coach.

OK, so lets see, the jets vs the habs. sure i think the habs will win this first game for the new coach but the BIG sideline issue is will anybody be pulled off the roster or even pulled off the bench during the game( scenes of players packing their cars with all their gear.) The equipment manager heading out to suppliers for new size gear and new names on habs jerseys. Sudden 50% off on certain habs jerseys at the store, a tsunami of phone messages from realtors to certain habs.:laugh::laugh:

Hoping CJ will make Canadiens great again!

But they suck in afternoon games though! We may have to wait til Tuesday to see the "new" habs.

Thing is the bruins always played afternoon games, maybe CJ can have these guys awake for game start

Great GDT Morrocan. Like the little touches like contract amount in cash. You're very creative!
