Winnipeg Jets, village burning

After what Chevy got for the PLD trade, PLD wanting out of the Peg was a blessing in disguises and maybe the best thing to ever happen to the Jets.
PLD is essentially a clone of Ryan Johansen. Big body with a little bit of skill who is lazy, disinterested most of the time, and rarely uses his body as much as he should. These types of players for whatever reason get endless opportunities in the NHL because if they ever put in the effort or found the next level to their game they'd be elite players, but neither did and neither will.

Difference between the Jets this season, compared to last is the depth that provides them the ability to play 4 lines effectively repeatedly. Last night no forwards over 20 minutes and one forward under 10 mins.

Bowness style requires it, shorter minutes spread out evenly to allow an aggressive forecheck and puck pursuit,

Beginning of last season we ran 4 lines effectively and kept our number one line at reasonable minutes. We had success.

Then injuries kicked in, our 4rth line was not good and we had to run our top line harder. It killed our ability to hound pucks, we always fell behind and always chasing games that resulted in cutting corners.

This season Jets have 5 new quality players added on our roster, our depth is at the level it requires to sustain Bowness's aggressive game plan. As long as we can continue to get the performance from our 3rd and 4rth lines, I don't see this train falling off the tracks like last season.

I’m a Jets fan, I don’t enjoy these types of threads as they have a way of falling back on you later.
Toronto and Edmonton fans will tell you the same thing.
Until you win something its best to stay low key.

I hear you could have had Helly for a few draft picks and prospects not even on your team yet
Teams figured they could just sign him as a UFA seeing as there was no way he would extend in Winnipeg. No one wants to play there don't ya know? We should of just accepted whatever junk teams offered or we would lose him for nothing. Chevy had no bargaining power at all they said. Geez, when will us Jets fans learn hey?
