It's very rare to find full games on You Tube in the modern era. Old Jets game are quite a bit easier.
But here is the very first playoff game for the Winnipeg Jets 2.0. The emergence of Scheifele, Lowry, Trouba. Also Tyler Myers. Scheif had it pretty tough, going up against Ryan Kesler, but he battled. He takes the critical penalty in this game that ties it up. Jets held a lead going into the 3rd period of each of the first 3 games. This was the era when the Jets were trying to match up to the physicality of the bigger teams in the West, before we infused a lot of smaller, softer, skill players in. And a Vezina goalie.

On Winnipeg Jets legend Dale Hawerchuk and his role in one of Canada's most famous goals

I think Mc Rae tagged him pretty good in their first fight. A lot of people like Domi, I always thought he was a bit of a jerk, in the way he conducted himself. We needed a good scrapper because Vancouver had a tough team that pushed us around in the 90s.

This guy however, he came to my home town when I was in school. One of the old school warriors.

(1) Jets @ Leafs - Mar.13,1982 (Full Game) - YouTube

I found this beauty. Leading up to the Jets first NHL playoff appearance, in 1982. Hawerchuk's rookie season and he gets on the board around the 13:45 minute mark of the video with a dirty dangle. Bobby Hull as the colour commentator. With how bad Toronto and Detroit were in the early 80s, if the Rockies had stayed in Colorado, instead of moving to New Jersey for the 82-83 season, I am convinced that the Jets, who took until 1988 to beat Edmonton once in the playoffs, might have found themselves in Campbell Conference final if they had stayed in the weaker Norris division.

Lukowich was one of 3 players the Jets were allowed to protect upon entering the NHL. The old timers would always say we got robbed. Rangers took Hedberg and Nilsson in 1978-79. Jets lost Kent Nilsson to the Atlanta Flames, Terry Ruskowski to the Hawks. Bobby Hull was 40, and Sjoberg was 35 by the time we entered the NHL. Lukowich and Willy Lindstrom were the only 2 good young players we kept.

We were all expecting Laine to shoot up that goals leaderboard
Looks like Ehlers and Connor will probably pass Selanne in goals next season
