I don't blame any Canadian fans to be honest. They're tired of giving the league copious amounts of revenue yet enduring failure and in some cases sheer embarrassment every year. Add the undeserved ticket prices coupled with the high cost of living for most people and you can see why they're checking out.

Jets are a bottom feeder in the league they're not giving the league shit.

Attendance goes down year after year and grievances with ownership/management continue to grow but somehow the 'True North' chant during the Canadian Anthem is as loud as ever. Kinda makes you think. What are the implications of corporate entity shamlessly and inorganically piping in their name over the PA during the National Hymn that does and should forever belong to the citizens of Canada?

Nothing against Jets fans or Winnipeg but it's inexcusable from the Jets franchise. f***ing disgusting

The Canadian economy is in big trouble to be honest. Been stagnating for a while now. Losing a lot of skilled workers to the States. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see several Canadian teams have attendance issues this season.

11K is definitely concerning though.

We're booming in Halifax. Population has grown by 100k since 2020. It's wreaked havoc on the housing market, but people are coming from other provinces and internationally.

Maybe a well done rebuild wouldn’t be the worst idea unlike many here claim.

You can sell hope, you can sell vision, you can sell exciting young players.

What you can’t sell is the mess they’ve been in the last couple of years and only look to continue to stay in that place.

”But you can’t do a rebuild because fans wouldn’t show up”, well have fun continuing with the mess

To answer. Msny fans have been dissatisfied with the product the last two years. It crashed and burned in each. Throw in awful inflation, losing a couple thousand seat holders due to COVID vaccination policies and you have an org that needs to mend some relationships and rebuild its ticket base.
Inflation rate dropped to 3.8% in September. It's just over half the current global inflation rate Inflation isn't the problem. Corporate greed, especially in the area of food costs, the housing market; those are the issues for many.

Thousands of season ticket holders officially cancelled because of federal, provincial, or arena vaccine policies?

that franchise simply would not be able to survive a rebuild. they're a playoff contender and yet, they're still having trouble selling out one of the smallest arenas in the league

maybe after 12 years the novelty has finally worn off
Winnipeg is a fragile franchise. Team should move to a more stable location.

Overall Canadian economy on a per person basis has been flat to falling since Covid Halifax is benefitting because the population is up 20%, the full country is up barely 3% and we’re on track for a recession

It's concerning because they are not a bad team. What if they become a bad one? Not pretty

I guess it doesn't matter, if the owner has big pockets and willing to spend money for few years.

They’ve been extremely toxic team and team without direction.

That’s the worst for a fan

You should either be a contender or try to build a contender. Jets haven’t been and haven’t even tried to be. Just in the hunt for a playoff spot has been enough and the results show

Hockey is an entertainment product and while I tip my hat to the Jets for their theory and practice of organizational stability, they don't exactly have a team that's worth this kind of stability. The Leafs are having problems of same old, same old, but at least we have a 60 goal scorer and shitty goalies to make it fun. The Jets aren't bad, but they're hardly relevant contenders either. Economy's in the shitter, who's going to pay a few hundred bucks to take their family to watch the Jets lose to the Kings on a school night?

The Jets are in the doldrums. The NHL is too, but the Jets don't have expansion fees or predatory advertising to pretend they aren't.
