It doesn't help that True North treats it's season ticket holders like an afterthought. I had lots to say on that topic when we were asked why we declined to renew this year.
Jets are a bottom feeder in the league they're not giving the league shit.I don't blame any Canadian fans to be honest. They're tired of giving the league copious amounts of revenue yet enduring failure and in some cases sheer embarrassment every year. Add the undeserved ticket prices coupled with the high cost of living for most people and you can see why they're checking out.
So true. inflation has made buying a ticket to an nhl game an afterthought for most.People are broke and struggle to buy food. Winnipeg is too small to support an NHL team unless times are good. No surprise there.

The Canadian economy is in big trouble to be honest. Been stagnating for a while now. Losing a lot of skilled workers to the States. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see several Canadian teams have attendance issues this season.
11K is definitely concerning though.
Inflation rate dropped to 3.8% in September. It's just over half the current global inflation rate Inflation isn't the problem. Corporate greed, especially in the area of food costs, the housing market; those are the issues for many.To answer. Msny fans have been dissatisfied with the product the last two years. It crashed and burned in each. Throw in awful inflation, losing a couple thousand seat holders due to COVID vaccination policies and you have an org that needs to mend some relationships and rebuild its ticket base.
Don't just pump the brakes, throw 'er in reverse. The league has way too many teams right now. Drop it to 28 and I'd be happyNothing against the Jets, but yeah NHL, pump the brakes on expansion.

Winnipeg is a fragile franchise. Team should move to a more stable location.that franchise simply would not be able to survive a rebuild. they're a playoff contender and yet, they're still having trouble selling out one of the smallest arenas in the league
maybe after 12 years the novelty has finally worn off
Overall Canadian economy on a per person basis has been flat to falling since Covid Halifax is benefitting because the population is up 20%, the full country is up barely 3% and we’re on track for a recessionSource to bold section?
We're booming in Halifax. Population has grown by 100k since 2020. It's wreaked havoc on the housing market, but people are coming from other provinces and internationally.
It's concerning because they are not a bad team. What if they become a bad one? Not pretty
I guess it doesn't matter, if the owner has big pockets and willing to spend money for few years.
