Sad to see him go, but respect the hustle. Football is a business after all.

Rough offseason to say the least. Cut Woli, kept around Neufeld and then lost a ton of guys. Haba, Garbutt, Lawler, Ford, and Dobson

Just a slight downgrade... or possibly an upgrade from Josh Johnson - who we cut...
Huge upgrade on Josh Johnson. He wasn't CFL quality (138yrds in 10 starts) and whiny little baby on top of it. He wasn't targeted in his last game here, ran off the field without shaking hands or talking to anyone then just refused to come back after the bye week. Why he was cut.

White is a decent depth add. He definateky flashed at times in MTL as a legit threat. White vs Wheatfall will likely be the battle for WR5 spot. With Logan and Mitchell having return experience they may even able to keep both on the roster with no having to have a designated American returner ala Janarion or Whitehead.

Right now im not seeing the benefit of cutting woli... 110 is not that much for cdn depth

Wow, salary cap up 400k... really makes you wonder why Lawler wasn't retained now - im sure he would have stayed for the same rate

Mackie, McEwan, Sopik, Adeleke, Haggerty... all guys that could solidify this team

Hubert is an odd one. Clearly had a great first half but fell out of favour with the Bombers in late August/early September and could never get back into the lineup consistently. I don't really have any idea why.

However it's not an uncommon thing for this Bomber staff. Examples that come to mind are WR Lucky Whitehead in 2019 and SLB Donald Rutledge Jr in 2022. Both were promising rookies who had great first halves of their rookie years who seemingly fell out of favour with Bombers management and could never get it back (much like Hubert). Of course with mixed results in future years, as Whitehead became a star in BC (however he was never becoming that here, he just wasn't a system fit) whereas Rutledge appeared to be out of football until he signed in Toronto last December.

Hubert was clearly a Goveia guy as one of Goveia's very first moves after becoming the Ti-Cats GM was to bring him in. We'll see how it goes for him. While I liked his game I still doubt he has the physical tools to become a star, but I think he'll be a decent rotational DE.
Hubert is an odd one. I saw a stat that has him behind Jefferson for knockdown rate. Make no sense you guys giving up on him that quick.

Probably didn't want to throw that much money in a position group where they can afford to lose a guy when they have holes elsewhere.

Definitely feels like this is true end for this group between saying goodbye to former key pieces like Woli and Bighill along with a bunch of other guys leaving to chase the money/for other reasons like in Ford's case. They still got a decent squad, but the depth they lost likely means they're just decent now rather than a legitimate favorite.

Screw that guy. Let him enjoy the money, mediocrity and catching balls from a spaghetti armed, hayseed, loser. Schoen will have 300+ more yards
At least 4 more TDs to.

Lawler is a weird guy. Kinda known as a hot head.

Woli cutt I am fine with. He used to have reliable hands until last year. Hurt to much as well. Guys like Cobb could be a nice upgrade at Canadian receiver.

Lots of great DL out there we could get.
