Thanks for clearing that up for me. I live in B.C. and have seen the Bombers many times at BC Place but only once at IG Field. I would always sit in Section S at the old Stadium, man it was fun.
Is there a Section S type at IG? I'm planning on coming to the Argo game in September.
Not really. If your looking for rowdy, best option is probably sections 139-140-141. They are in the endzone, but right below the Rum Hut so most of party people have generally congregated to that end of the stadium (not that there isn't rowdiness everywhere, but that's the section with lots of shirt off guys, and like where Lucky Whitehead was partying it up in the 2021 West Final and whatnot)

Just remember West side sucks. Shit i don't think there is a west side anymore.
Yeah that's the only thing I miss about ol Canad Inns. Loved the West Side sucks chants, and it was funny cause the East side was definitely the fun side. I sat one game in west side at Canad Inns and vowed never to again haha.

Flashback 2000: Bombers kickoff party at Portage & Main

A method of driving business for a heavily-indebted football club.
(Winnipeg Enterprises still operated the stadium at that point, and concession revenues were not shared with the team, right?)

Jeez, man. The Argos and Stamps are two BAD football teams. That game was entertaining in a comedy of errors type of way.

I can't say the Argos are a bad team - just bc and WPG are five paces ahead of everyone this year.

The scary thing for hamilton is Maier actually beat out BLM cleanly - and I think we can safely say Maier sucks now.

Maier is a worse version of Nichols.

If making 2023 Jake Maier look like a competent QB isn’t the hallmark of a bad team, I don’t know what is.

To be fair TOR rolled the dice by not dressing a backup DB. And they ended up losing two DBs to injury which is when Maier started to find success. If the Bombers had to be using Exume every down in their secondary you'd see them get shredded as well.

A poor coaching decision is not an excuse for me, but I just mean in general I don’t see it with Toronto. They’ve feasted on a cupcake schedule and haven’t looked particularly well while doing it.

Hamilton is just handling BC at the line of scrimmage on both sides. VAJ has no time while Powell is getting plenty.

3rd and 10 Lucky Whitehead runs a 10 yard out. Nobody within 20 yards of him. VA decides to try to force it into the middle and picked. I've only caught the last 10 mins or of this game but VA looking like MTL VA. Poor decision making.

This result is certainly good for the Bombers, but what an upset.

Did not think that the Ti Cats could go into BC and win, real nivce game from Powell and very hard and effective running from Butler. VA has some real good receivers but he is not a top line QB.

I’ve been saying all year, VAJ might have the lowest football IQ out of all the QBs in the league. Of course, I had forgotten about Fajardo, who is infinitely worse, but yeah, Adams Jr. sucks.

I had a good chuckle at TSN positing him as a potential MOP winner.

Essentially the same story as it is in Toronto. Receivers making a mediocre to below-average QB look better than he is.

Mediocre means top 3 right now in the cfl

Sucks that the Elks won, but at least Chris Jones (the CFL coach, not the dude on the Chiefs) looks like a moron still.

With any luck, it’ll hopefully be another 1,435 days before they win at home again.

I’ve been through Bomber Grey Cup losses, Jets playoff heartbreak, but this just sucks, man.

Hopefully those losers dumping the Gatorade cooler on Jones curses them to another losing streak.

Lmfao! Tre Ford in the post-game interview on TSN, when asked about the Stampeders: “They’ve got a great team but so do we.”

I’m not sure which part of that statement is more wrong.

Have confidence in yourself, I guess, but he’s not fooling anyone. The only thing those two teams are “great” at is being so terrible that the rest of the league looks like competent teams in comparison. Me and a few of my buddies could probably take the Elks at this point.

That was such a funny chant at the old stadium. It reminded me of the playful heckling you get between fan groups in English Football. Bunch of drunk Loogans over baked in the sun on the East side taking the piss out of the type cast, more refined, restrained, well heeled crowd on the west side in the shade.

There's not enough talk about how truly decrepit Ottawa is. Whether the Rough Riders, Renegades or Redblacks, they have TWO winning seasons since 1980. I don't mean Grey Cups. I mean a record over .500. TWO. FREAKIN' TWO. Even their one Grey Cup win came with a losing record in the regular season (8-9-1). Embarrassing. 1981 was a banner year for them. They lost the Grey Cup after a scintillating 5-11 campaign. Edmonton's current nightmare is darn near an above average season in the nation's capital.

Legitimately, the greatest thing the franchise accomplished in the last half decade was beating us when presumably we weren't collectively interested in getting out of bed that morning.

Hello @Holden Caulfield, which CFL stadiums have you been to? And are you traveling to another this season?

Please and thank you.

My and the fiancée have been to Sask (new and old), BC, and Calgary. I've been to Edm, she hasn't so that one well hit soon (cheap cause we can stay with my bro). None of the East yet. We are taking the year off cause we put all our money basically into our new house we just bought this summer.

Hoping Bombers-Argos works out with Blue Jays in town at same time next year.

Congratulations on the new house.

I’ve been to new Sask and, of course, IG Field and Canad Inns (the stadium, not the hotel, although I’ve been there too).

This year I’m planning on flying to BC for the October 6 game. And then, after this, I too am planning on hitting a new stadium each year until I’ve done them all. Please let your brother (or your pal, I’m not sure if you are using “bro” as lingo for peer/friend or as a shortened version of actual kin) know that I will also need to stay there at some point in the next decade. Thanks.

I dislike the Blue Jays too but I’m not sure I’d ever buy tickets to a game just to root against them but you do you.

No my actual brother lol. I lived in Edmonton for ~5 years starting in grade 11 until i was about 19, he still lives there today. I was actually at the game when Stegall scored that miracle 100 yard TD with no time on the clock haha. You could hear a pin drop in that stadium after that game, I was wearing my Stegall jersey and took a ton of abuse coming out after that game haha.

That sounds great, yeah we just formed the plan last year after we found some cheap tickets to BC. We'd been to the 2019 GC in Calgary and done Labour Day a few times and thought let's start hitting every CFL stadium every year.

BC is a beautiful stadium. They have a pretty solid tailgate stuff around the stadium that was lots of fun. Granville Island is right close to the stadium which has a bunch of shops and breweries thats perfect for pre-gaming as well, just a short boat ride from Stadium. With the dome the air feels like hangs heavy in there, you can tell why Medlock always said he hated kicking in there. But great sight lines, and the public transit in BC makes coming and going a breeze from that stadium. We stayed on the north shore, and it was super quick to hit the train then the ferry to North Van afterward.

I grew up with Jays playing on CBC every Saturday watching guys like Delgado so I just became a Jays fan lol. I'm not a huge baseball fan but I toss the Jays on when I'm just looking at my phone (usually posting on hf lol). Baseball is a nice calm sport to watch live though haha.

Good luck with your tour as well. I'll let you know if we scope out any cheap flights out east next year haha.
