As I sit here eating an afternoon breakfast and rewatching yesterday’s games, I have had a sobering thought.

At first I was gonna be pissed that a mediocre to average QB in Kelly would probably win MOP over one of the best RB seasons ever, but now, it’ll just be funny, given Kelly’s performance yesterday.

Collaros was better than Kelly this season and Brady beat him out for MOP so Brady should be able to mop up MOP against Kelly but not sure that’ll happen.

This is just glorious. Toronto has likely peaked as they’re gonna lose all the players that helped boost up Kelly and now they’ve got an average QB eating up a lot of cap space who is also a locker room problem. Absolutely amazing.

Bombers to a man only care about one thing and that another Grey Cup win, individual awards are great but it the grand scheme of things just window dressing compared to the big prize. 3/4 Grey Cups is a dynasty

When the field reporter kept trying to force some personal shine on Zach Collaros and he was like rattling off every other player on the team for credit, that's how I knew we have something special here.

MOP awards and all that are nice, but we all know there's exactly one accolade they care about :)

Yup, this team has been building all year for this moment.

I read an article in the Freep this week where Lawler was quoted saying something like “I don’t care if I have a game where I have one catch for two yards if we win, because I know that means the other guys are feasting.”

The Bombers are set on the goal of the Grey Cup, but as a fan I love watching Toronto and Kelly implode after all the horseshit all season about them being the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Exactly. They have such faith in each other, they know that one of them being shut down just mean their teammates will benefit. When BC overcompensated to shut the door on Oliveira, as they surely had to, did he complain that his numbers were going down, or was he grinning from ear to ear as Collaros and Lawler now started going into business?

When the train comes in, everyone rides :)

That was absolutely masterclass. BC sold out to stop Brady but that meant Lawler in 1-on-1 and they couldn’t be stopped. Man, I hope we get Schoen back next week. That’ll be huge as Montreal has a stout D

I have always looked at this topic in a simple way. In the NHL, CFL, NBA, MLB or most team sport leagues:

They give out one objective team award every year and it’s the championship trophy. The other subjective stuff is cute but it’s all conciliation prizes, marketing events in my opinion. Lots of fans get a kick out of presidents trophy’s, and best defensive forward, most valuable individual but you play team sports to win team championships. There is the reason they have parades is cities for winning championships.

I realize others may look at this topic differently.

Should be a good GC game.

Fiveyardo and his OL looked terrible against TO for the most part. It seemed they were trying to let Toronto back into the game but the Arblows kept consistently crapping there pants doubly more.
The Eastern final was a poorly played football game.

Blue Bombers limit turnovers and penalties just like they did against the Leos They should win handily.

Cole looked really good in replacement of Bighill. It is a loss for sure but we have the troops to fill in at MLB.

CANT WAIT FOR NEXT SUNDAY!:scared:

So Biggie was seen leaving on crutches no mention of a walking boot, we shall see. On a positive note the LB crew of Cole, Clements, Kramdi and Wilson had good games.
He was holding his knee on the sideline, so he wouldnt be in a walking boot.

To extend the metaphor, from what little boxing I've seen, Brady is like the body blow. They just keep coming, each one hurts you a bit, each one slows you down, and once you start cheating to cover them, that's when the Lawler uppercuts come in.

So Bombers open as 7.5pt favourites for Sunday. A familiar story, but one game playoffs anything can happen as we saw last year.

Bombers will wear their road uniforms in GC, same as they've worn in 2019, 2021, sand 2022. They'll be the road team so they'll be in visiting locker rooms.

This week is gonna drag out...

Oh and in fun Rider news star CB Nick Marshall has been released after getting a gun charge down in the US. Honestly I thought he was pretty washed this year so Riders probably were gonna release him anyways, but yeah.

Why the heck are we always the road team?
