Reactions: ps241 and buggs
Tip of the hat to Richie Hall tonight. The adjustments he made in the second half in BC last month seemed to have carried over. You take away VAJ'S first read and use a spy or keep contain to limit him from scrambling and make him disect your secondary and more often than not, he can't read the D fast enough before time runs out, and once he's rattled, he tends to make mistakes. Helped that the D line and especially Willie and Jeffcoat were on fire tonight but that was masterclass from Mr. Hall tonight.

No doubt but one thing I'll mention is that on either the first or second sack of the game, early in the first quarter VA came up limping. He was limping fairly noticeably the rest of the game. So I think his mobility was a bit impaired much of the game. BUT at the same time many of those sacks were "coverage" sacks. The DL wasn't pin your ears back and attack pass rushing, mostly they were "contain" pass rushing. So yeah going up field but they were doing in a controlled manner to maintain their lanes. Not allowing VA to get outside or find running lanes up the middle. Why everytime he tried to bounce off one guy he found a second guy there waiting for him. A side note of that is that's exactly how you get to Fajardo as well...

To be honest I think final score flattered BC quite a bit. Two missed FGs from Sergio and BC's TD was a complete fluke bounce hail Mary. Wind it back even more and that first FG from BC was the result of what seemed live to be a rather questionable PI call. The offense went dormant for long periods of time as well. This game could easily have been 45-3.

But to be honest who cares. This isn't the time to talk process, or repeatability. None of that matters now. All that matters is 1 game. One More game the Bombers have to come out and ball. One More game to prove last year's fluke meant nothing at all. One More game to solidify this Bomber team as probably the greatest dynasty in the CFL since the Esks in late 70's/early 80's. Let's f***ing go Bombers.

How wrong I was about Oliveira when they were trying to hand it over to him.

He’s really learned to adjust his timing, and delay a second or two before hitting the hole for a more advantageous lane.

He’s going to be key next week with that Montreal defense.

Jeffcoat was a monster today, he has battled hip discomfort all year missed some games rarely practices but today he was possessed. Willie J was Willie J knocked down passes and was a terror on the other side. Clements came in for Biggie and played well as did Wilson. The Db's locked it down for the most part and VA was forced to look for his second and third receivers and by then the D had him

if it's any consolation, I was bullish on Oliveira but he has absolutely exceeded even all expectations I had. The most outstanding player in the league this year and if they gave an award for most outstanding human being, he'd be a shoe-in for that. Do you know how many people outside of Winnipeg found out about the CFL and the Bombers because one of our players gives so freely of his time to help those doggies escape some truly wretched (if not fatal) situations?

A fine ambassador for his team and his city, and if he stays his career here, he will go down alongside Teemu and Ducky in terms of beloved civic sports heroes. Bookmark this post so we can bring it up in 20 years, cause you know I am.

Fajardo vs Collaros in Grey Cup
Rematch of the QBs from west division finals 2021 when Fajardo was QB for Green and White
That was exciting game we came out on top

Man it looked like what happened to Toronto yesterday was happening to us that day half way through

That comeback win in those conditions really was incredible

Both the games against SSK with Fajardo were incredible

So impressive that this team is going to their 4th strait Grey Cup. That is next to impossible to accomplish in the CFL. When was the last time it happened? Maybe the Esks when I was a kid living in Edmonton?

Savour this Bomber fans old and young it really doesn’t come along often due to the nature of the shorter contracts and churn in this league. It’s says as much about the organization as it does the players.

One piece of unfinished business. Never underestimate the hot team in the Grey Cup. Hopefully the Bombers weaponize last years stinging loss in the Grey Cup to give them the added motivation next week. I am expecting a good game from the offence.

That was no fluke hail Mary, Glen Suitor assured us it was intentional and just as they drew it up. Are you saying he was wrong????
🤣 That was so cringe on the broadcast... Especially when the replay showed BC didn't tip the ball at all, it was 2 Bombers who totally walled off the intended receiver and tried a knockdown. And then to ice the cake, the guy who caught the ball was directly asked about it during the half time interview, and he definitively said, "No, it wasn't designed, I was just lucky to be in the right place."

Don't expect anything less from a Rider fan and that's all Suitor is.:naughty:
