It's huge in the sense they can't dick him around and send him to the VHL or scratch him or loan him to wherever they want, but he still has a 2 year contract with this new team that he can't just leave.

The plan is still probably two more years in the KHL anyways. As long as he comes here at or before he is 24 everything should be fine.

I didn't expect him here before he was 22 anyways.

I doubt there is such thing in Russia as a team with no government connections. But Vityaz is not CSKA ("Rosneft"/Sechin) or SKA (Rotenberg), which makes things easier I guess - money should solve a lot of issues.

Russians are usually never there. I think their training camps start very early and I believe I have heard/seen that some teams have summer training that is part of their contract

He’s still a project, but the skill is through the roof. Also might as well pencil in William Horcoff as our draft selection next year, he’s the guy all the way on the left
