Lol how the heck do you know? He just turned 20, I’d wait a little bitThis kid wont make it to the NHL, but rooting for him make it to the pros
He is a 20 year old playing in a sub tier junior league. Be realLol how the heck do you know? He just turned 20, I’d wait a little bit
Strange how there's no hate about that draft pick.Kivenmäki's season is over, 21 points in 62 games so not the season we hoped to see after him changing teams. His rights expire this summer.
He was glued to the bench for the 3rd period, as was Buium. At least Mazur looked great, definitely think Detroit has something in him.Tuomisto was such a Tyler Wright pick lol
I like how we still cherrypick disappointing draft picks to attribute to the guys we don't like, while giving Yzerman/Andersson 100% credit for the successes lol.Tuomisto was such a Tyler Wright pick lol
Because he was actually looking like a pro prospect before the horrific hit and "life altering concussion"Strange how there's no hate about that draft pick.
I liked him a lot and he was like Tyutyaev very late pick, he just had very bad injury, so to early to tell , but we should not have a lot of expectationsStrange how there's no hate about that draft pick.
I like Tuomisto, he just fits the description of a Wright player lol.I like how we still cherrypick disappointing draft picks to attribute to the guys we don't like, while giving Yzerman/Andersson 100% credit for the successes lol.
Mazur did look great. He was constantly chugging away, involved with the play and played with a mixture of energy and smart-i-ness. I've liked his game since I saw him at the WJC showcase last year.He was glued to the bench for the 3rd period, as was Buium. Buium I completely understand why, and he's young and plays a bigger offensive role. Tuomisto, looking like a bust but lets see what happens next year.Mazur did look great. Not surprised Tuo and Boomer were benched at the end, but the overall situations were different. Buium saw 1st unit PP time that game...clearly a nod to his skillset. Denver is a deep team and has better options when guarding a lead. Tuo was used sparingly all game. He was overwhelmed by better skaters and didn't bring much in either zone.
I will say that Tuo can use his size and reach to his full advantage. That skating though...oy.
20 years old and not yet even a college freshman. Getting outscored by a 17 year old.Lol how the heck do you know? He just turned 20, I’d wait a little bit
makes sense in this case though with Hakan straight up saying right after the draft that Wright really liked him
....or maybe i'm thinking of someone else but pretty sure that was Tuo
5'9 superskilled kids are what you want to draft in round 7.Strange how there's no hate about that draft pick.
He was fun to follow for a 7th round pick. I wonder how much the injury derailed his career, didn't he basically lose his helmet and bounce his head off the ice after a hit or something?5'9 superskilled kids are what you want to draft in round 7.
Kivinmaki started so well as a prospect but never seemed to bounce back from that injury in his D+1 season.
I'll take those kinds of seventh round picks all day long.
Lol. A 'subtle' way of letting everyone know that just because Tuo's Finnish doesn't mean he was his guy. It'd probably drive me crazy, but I'd like to know who Hakan wanted with that pick. That was Tuo. Hakan said something like "Tyler loved him."
I didn't like those scouting reports. But I held hope because the kid could really step into a slapshot...against Finnish junior kids.
Bottom line is that 7th rounders have a minimal chance to make the show.5'9 superskilled kids are what you want to draft in round 7.
