I can respect that take. It's substantive and can be debated in a meaningful way based on perception. I wouldn't have an issue with critiques of Mazur if this was how it went down.

As an aside: it's when people (really person) comes in and acts like Mazur hasn't accomplished anything or at least has shown growth that makes people bristle.

I don't care if you have knocks against Mazur as long as you have the need to make sense. Extra points if you use the term "strawman" correctly and unironically.

Last night was good elsewhere too. Lombardi 2+1, Zito 0+2, Ali 1+1, Mehlenbacher 1+0, James 1+0... Also Niederbach 2 assists in his second game with MoDo.

Guess that transfer turned out to be a real good thing for Mastrosimone. I wonder if there's any chance still that he remains in Detroit's system. I'm guessing he signs elsewhere, but would be interested in seeing how he looks in GR.

I hope so. I still think there’s a chance he becomes something. Maybe a pesky 3rd line guy. Maybe a Matt Luff/Czarnik level guy.

I saw Mastrosimone play in the USHL in his draft year and he looked so much like another Tatar to me. It's too bad he didn't catch on more at BU. Not sure to make of what of his trajectory anymore.

BU's program has been kind of a shit show since David Quinn left. Mastrosimone definitely deserved more icetime there than he was given. The program seems to favor kids that are USNTDP grads over kids from other USHL or HS programs.

In the NHL, it's xRiccis/60. Not sure what the unit of measure is over there. Malkins maybe? Stats don't always tell the whole story, but he sure passes the eye test.
