I didn't think the top two lines would look this good. I was worried it'll just be our 3rd.

Trouba was very good today. Good defensive positioning and was part of multiple dangerous opportunities for us.

Miller looks like he's not sure what he's meant to be doing. Don't know what happened to the confident player from pre-season

Staple's latest said Trouba's hurt & trying to play through it. If Miller's having to adjust to covering for Trouba too, that's probably why collectively they haven't been great

Not one forward played 19 minutes. And it's not like it was garbage time. It was a 2-2 game with 14 minutes left. 4th line got better than 10 minutes on the ice. The kids averaged 15 minutes. Panarin under 18 minutes. Zibad under 19 minutes. With the lineup Gallant has put together, he can roll all 4 lines and keep everyone fresh.

Kid line to the “vets”

I am glad Fil and Laffy got some points, because it must suck to carry 5 on 5 play, draw multiple penalties and watch as the vets get all the PP time/points. Its like having a job where your boss uses your ideas and takes all the credit. Eventually the resentment will come.

Kind of amazing how the goals just started pouring in after all of their struggles lately. Gotta give props to Goodrow, as his resident hater he had a really good 3rd period, that whole line was buzzing really. Great finish on his goal. Nice to see the kids get on the scoresheet too, thought Chytil had a great game, Laf was ok and Kakko probably had one of his worst games honestly but that's ok he's been so good. Kravtsov actually absorbed a hit at the end of the game and didn't fall to the ice, he's making drastic improvements by the minute. Big win overall.

Shesterkin made two saves at the beginning of the third that enabled this. We need him to keep doing that.

Also, keep Reaves and Carpenter far, far away from the lineup.

Goalies are supposed to make saves. Vezina winning goalies are supposed to make a whole lot more f**king saves than Shesty has made. Half the goalies in the league would have had a shutout this game.

We now have a capable 4th line that can skate,hit and chip in offense.Carpenter and Reaves should never play again.The lines were all clicking tonight and our defense was much better...besides that weak Miller turnover that led to the 2nd goal.If this game doesn't get them going,nothing will

If the kid line is going to keep working, playing well at even strength and drawing penalties, that answers a lot of lineup questions for this team.
