Agree with most of your post. I still want Morneau moved, he does try hard but still is 4th worst +/- on the team only only following Tom's, Davis (who is young) and Zhugin. Clear them out other than Davis on that front
I don’t mind Morneau out if there’s a deal to be made. I can’t imagine value is too high. I like him more than Smith, partially because of expectations. I feel Smith is further off from what’s expected of him, which may also mean he holds higher trade(/perceived) value as a change of scenery could help.

True. Smith was dealt by London for a reason after a quick rookie season start early that year. Hard to gage is visually non compete level most games and then a surprise game occasionally . Strange for sure.

Good to see them get a win. I prefer losses for better draft position though. Schaefer looks pretty good for Erie, last year's 1st pick. Misiak, last years' 1st pick in the import draft is smooth, surprised he doesn't have more points. If he's back next year, Erie could be really good.

Spellacy with two points. Cole Davis is 5th in rookie scoring and Woodall is 3rd in rookie defenseman scoring.

Regarding this talk about the import draft. There was only two players draft past Eichler that are NHL picks playing in the CHL. Again picking 58th in the import draft is rarely going to get you an elite player. Now picking 3rd overall this year, I expect Bowler to bring in a drafted player.

A few thoughts:

Goals against...

1. A 3-on-2 down low with Toure/Cristoforo covering their guys and a third one comes into the slot. Pass goes glove to slot. Costanzo is out of his crease so has to dive to have a shot. Cristoforo is in the crease, tries to block, but it's in. Costanzo was 10 feet out of his crease so that's on him.

2. Bressette is wide open glove side and puts it across a sliding Costanzo.

3. Crease scramble. Winegard has his guy but Toms can't get the guy who slides in from behind. Costanzo can't get to the puck and it's in.

4. Fumbled puck at the Wsr blueline. Spence breakaway, goal.

- Hard to argue with the start. Two goals in a rather boring period, you'd take that any night.
- The second period was embarrassing and I think they all knew it. Torres said after that he asked the players what they thought and everyone was on the same page. WHY it keeps happening is anyone's guess.
- Erie got into ugly penalty troubles early in the third and the Spitfires capitalized. That's what you want to see. You're given a chance, you take it and say thank you.
- Ethan Martin with a pair tonight. He's really growing on me; speed, physical, no fear, and a solid shot. He was on the third line with Morneau and Nesbitt and looked just fine.
- Tonin got the callup from the Vipers but saw very limited action. I think I saw him on a few, brief shifts. I mean... it's a warm body.
- Greentree was Greentree; a goal, an assist, and doing his thing out there.
- Abraham with a three point night. If he can find that consistency, yes please.
- Defensively, it felt more like Otters players just slipping under the radar than Windsor playing poor defensively.
- Costanzo made some massive saves and his confidence seems to be improving. I'd like to see him a bit more composed in goal; two of the goals were because he was out of position. Fortunately, Cristoforo was there to attempt to stop one open net goal (missed).
- Lots of scouts in the house tonight, which was nice to see.

London on Friday in what should be a chaotic mess. I said tonight "as long as Windsor doesn't do something to get suspended, let's be happy with a point."

Windsor pulls off a win.
Played half a game.
Power played helped.
Greentree leading the way.
Defense was average.
Coaching was ok.
Erie played a goalie with very little experience.
Windsor tied with Niagara for last unfortunately.

Well Spits can thank Erie for the penalty breakdown in the 3rd but credit to the Spits for taking advantage of it.

Davis is really coming into his own . I can't see him not being drafted this June. Somebody will pick him up in the later rounds with that speed, intensity and attitude he will get noticed.
Also like Woodall's game but not sure he will get any love.

I had predicted a loss and then a win tonight but I think it is reversed now. Spits taking too many shifts off and London will find another gear if they get behind, but probably won't need to that.

So in the coaching search Bowler MUST find a head coach that can inspire this team! Letting them coast for half a game and no consequence is never a recipe for success.

Old school coaching still has some weight at this level. Can't be their buddy and still have success.

With Sarnia's injuries and Niagara as well it will be tough to finish last. Still hoping for a top pick though! Be safe.

Last place is best scenario with this disaster season set up by Bowler n management..

With the exception of this past game in regards to the comeback. They react very poorly to sudden change situations. The quick goal by Erie to start the period heads went down and shoulders slumped. Obviously that's due to how the season has gone but it started game 1 of the year.

Yes coaches can inspire but this new coach is going to be more of a psychologist to repair this roster. They need more accountable OAs and 19 year olds.

It’s also coaching. Have a tendency to put the 4th line out after being scored on. Not a recipe for success.

Sorry not getting a win against London. They play with too much structure, with have out D running around and have quality goaltending. Not to mention their D will shut down our rather predictable offense.
