The dark knight has won 3 OHL Championships and 1 mem cup as a goaltending coach between Windsor and London. I'm sure Froggett has an opinion working so close with him.

I think we need to have the discussion about whether Bowler should still have a job. Everyone says "it's junior hockey give it time." Coach getting canned and assistants resigning is an indictment on Bowler. The kids are learning its a business but if Bowler can't insulate and protect the players then he needs to go. The players are the ones getting screwed. The adults made a personal choice and Bowler still wields the sword? That shouldn't happen and doesn’t make sense.

BB had to do what's best for the total Spits organization. If he had to fire the coaches (his former buddies), then he had the backbone to do so. He stated that this club should not have the record they have. His call as to correcting the sad state of affairs. Fans will respond positively to an honest team effort. Put people in charge that can bring this result!

Bowler last years acquisitions didn't work out so well. Castle has not found his game. Former 1st rounder BB obviously expected more. First round exit is what made the Harrison and Wright trades really hurt. Not too many expected 1st round exit even with poor defense structure. Bowler inherited Smith so that has now run full circle. He has done some gems and some rocks. Thin ice for sure but expect he's safe until at least ownership changes or another debacle next year. The Savages have groomed him through the vipers and VP of hockey with the Spits for years before named GM.

Here's some more info on Bill Dark (although not entirely relevant). Bill Dark made a name for himself in the world of ball hockey (one of Canada's best ball hockey goalies). Then years after he retired from ball hockey, he ran the top ball hockey league in London, "Lambeth League", and took it quite seriously. He assembled a powerhouse team that consisted primarily of current and ex-OHL'rs. This team would go on to have success at the Provincials. I mention this because I was a member of an opposing team that went up against this powerhouse team which had not lost a game in 2 years. We played them...we went up 1-0, they tied it, and we went on to have a bench clearing brawl, and the game was postponed with the score tied 1-1. Bill Dark walked into our dressing room after the end of the game, looked at me and said, what do you want to do? Replay the game? I said "No, we'll take the tie". and that snapped their 2 year win streak! Sorry for the long, boring story. I'll show myself out.

I can see Bowler being given until Christmas to turn this around. Kind of a "You made this choice, so either put up or shut up" scenario.
IMHO he will be running things for the rest of this season. At that point the owners or the new owners will decide who will be in charge. Hopefully things will change for the better and we’ll get the odd win, but Christmas is too close.

Looks like tonight...

Costanzo starts. Toms is out one more game. Greenwell, Struthers, Castle out.

Smith still listed as HC so... see who they have besides Torres. My gut says Bowler but...

Silver stick is this weekend so you would have to assume he would want to be there. My money is on Mr Dark.

New coach so I'm hopeful to see some kind of organization and smart hockey tonight atleast. Losing in a rebuilding year is expected, but how we were losing games under Jarred Smith's time was unacceptable. Team wasnt prepared for battle most nights or gameplan went stagnant during the game and wasnt adjusted.

If Greentree is out it's going to be another hurdle, he has been the heartbeat(if any) so far this season. Going to need this team to play together and do the small things and win the small battles if we are going to have a chance, will help if our Goaltending can be reliable back there as well.

Not expecting much but hopeful for a competitive end to this season. Only way from here is up. Bottom of the barrel right now.

Go Spits!!🙏

I think Greentree is playing. Greenwell is out

Bowler is on thin ice but I think he gets more time. He has made some iff moves but a lot of great moves, acquiring plays for cheap who developed into top players. The returns on his De'Angelis and Dionico/Christopoulos trades have been solid. His drafting has been good for the most part.

He needs to find at least an assistant coach ASAP, obviously.

Good to see Woodall playing, I thought he was their best d-men in the opening 10 games.

so can we get Greentree cheap

Feel like it should be 50%+ off the rest of the season with how things are going, will be lucky to see fans in the seats..
The last two home games had 4800 and 5500 paying customers.

Brady Martin, a 2nd and a 3rd for Greentree haha

I’m not even old but Christoforo/Christopoulos then Greentree/Greenwell with 3 New D starting with W (Woodall/Walton/Winegard) and a 4-17 record, it’s hard to keep tabs on what the hell is going on.

These days Normally by the second shovel stop I’m trying to find something else to do with my night

The amount of times I've typed Christoforo instead of Christopoulos, or some variation of the two, is impressive.
