Who is kept and who is going import? Zhugin or Eichler?both? One is going to get the high end import pick next year
May not know till after the Euro draft, who and what position F or D,especially assuming a high selection top 12 in the draft, instead of high 55 or higher, also if drafted by NHL team and their plans, unless it's a 17 year old 07,will be interesting.

Here we go again with swampland for sale. Returning goal scorers returning does not improve the absolute pathetic D. Our touted high end D and experienced Toms leads the team in minus and looks like it is a pain to even get dressed. No doubt Greentree will likely be a league leader in scoring but he needs to drastically improve his defensive play. He has super potential but is not a Wyatt Johnston yet. Even with a pile of 2nd round picks they are still inexperienced 16 year olds and limited to dress so many. Plus we better pray our 1st rounder signs. Forget any flyers thinking about coming here for a while. Plus we will need at least 1 likely 2 goalies even if Froggett is our starter. We loaded last year had Maggio and Wright and couldn't outscore our D though much better D than this year to get out of the 1st round. Need lots of Xmas presents dropped from the sky.
No swampland for sale, I am stating they will have some difference makers on next year's squad. The D will obviously be improved, likely through the import draft. They obviously are going to trade some of those 2nd's. I expect them to move some of the 2nd's for defense.

Big swings happen year-to-year. Oshawa allowed 290 goals last year, on pace to allow 250 this year Niagara allowed 355 goals last year and is on pace to allow 265 this year. Soo allowed 310 goals last season and is on pace to allow 240 this year.

Other than Woodall I don't care if anyone returns including 74. 1 top end import D is still not going to change much on his own. It is a culture this team has lacked for years defensively. Dionicio was a damn good import and didn't shake things either way in his own.

Seeing this same offense only crap with the Oilers and Leafs. Too many top dogs and not enough support cast available to balance a team. Aka Vegas. Roll 4 good responsible lines with no scoring leaders and win a cup. Sign me up. Bowler and Delmore were offense only minded players. Well here we are. Tigers don't change their stripes. Thinking a superstar goalie will save a bad defense is stupid. It only works when the team plays a D structure top to bottom. This debacle has nothing to do with Michelone Costanzo or Froggett. Hell they are within a crouch hair of each other with their averages and save % that should tell you something.

Actually I like Eichler, Walton, and am not willing to give up on Christoforo by next year Woodall,Walton and Christoforo will all be 18 yrs old while Eichler doesn't turn 19 till close to mid December next year.
I do think Manzo and Lavigne both have upside and expect both to make the team especially Manzo next and both will be 17 years of age.
Interesting despite the team currently allowing 55 more goals then scored Eichler is a -11,and 4 of those happened vs Kitchener, Walton is -8 and also 4 of those were against Saturday as well,Woodall is -2 in his 11 games played while Manzo is 0 in his 3 games played.
Only Christoforo has bloated numbers -22 ,though in time I think that's correctable depending who his partner is.
Even Winegard is only a -6 overall, and in the last 6 games where Windsor has allowed 46 goals he is a -2.

On paper, they're good enough offensively and in goal to make the playoffs. Defensively, it might force them to a 7 or 8 slot, but that's still in.

How do I trust Bowler? He hired Savard. I don't think many fans would be upset if he returned.

My guess, based strictly on body language and gut feeling, are guys like Castle and Colton Smith. Both have the ability to play top-six minutes but neither has shown it nearly enough. When you're dropping that far in the lineup and look like you're going through the motions on the ice, something is wrong.

Regarding the coaches - if anything happens, it'll be this week, not on a Sunday morning. They'll want to get their stuff together to make sure everything is set up before they make any announcement.
In the defense of the other side… since both of them got here they’ve looked like they’ve been going thru the motions. Both have had glimpses of “eh there may be something here” but mostly? Meh.

Breaking: Jerrod Smith has been relieved of his duties, per the team. More info coming tomorrow.
With Smith's dismissal that's 5 head coaches so far relieved of their duties and we have played only 1/3 of the season or less to date.

I know people want literally everyone gone but that's not realistic for this weekend. My guess - they have either Delmore or Torres as interim HC while they find someone from outside of the organization as a permanent replacement.
I doubt it will be the 3 guys fired in Essex last week lol.

That crossed my mind when it happened. From what I've read, it was an issue with visions over the direction of the team. That could be wrong but it's all I have to go on right now. If Ridout joins the Spitfires, I wouldn't be against it.
Only mentioning what I heard about Essex situation is that 5 players walked into GM's and told him what was going on re practices etc,so doubt Rideout would be considered for anything.

They can spin it anyway they want. Was a bad hire by Bowler..

Now I'm even more curious.

As for the Spits... we'll see what happens tomorrow. I feel for Smith, though; he's a good guy who was loyal to this team for a long time.

Smith is the 1st head coach fired by Windsor since after 2005-06 season when Moe's Mantha was dismissed.
