No one willing to drop the gloves. Pushing, shoving amounts to nothing really. And again, with Leonard, the Boulton bros, Lawrence etc. Windsor doesn’t have to match up with the Knights in the nastiness department. Even with S Boulton suspended.

I understand why people would them to show some fight. On the other side they haven't shown much fight all year. Suddenly in game 65 they would show up? The management and coaching staff have failed the players as well as the players failing themselves. Just put the season to bed.

If they don't get physical, they're soft. If they get physical and anything is called (right or wrong), they're taking bad penalties and should know better. If they get involved, people scream "you ain't gonna do anything" (to the Spitfires' player(s)). There's no winning here.

Let's hope for a competitive game tonight with no injuries. I didn't hear it, but apparently Torres said on the pre-game that Toure's out for the season? That's a brutal way to end your OHL career.
There is definitely "winning" in some posters eyes no matter what is happening, in any given season and there is a tie with those posters who defend all sides ;) Gotta keep access.
Yes some dislike "soft" teams some dislike "agressive" teams and thats all good( seems Spits fans lhere mostly lean towards aggressive, hard hockey played within the lines) but its those who excuse both sides.....

Lots of back and forth about the Spits coming out fiesty today. The Spits have lost 9 straight. Their play of late shows they have lost the "will" to win. If there is any spark left in this team you would have to hope it comes to the surface with a home matchup against the dreaded Knights! Knights play the aggressive style hockey well with Hunter guiding the way. I just want to see the Spits stand up to that and not fold. Even if they don't win at least be willing to be in the game and not take the after the whistle crap from London. It is more about entering next year with an embedded losing culture. Not looking for dirty hits that will injury players just the stand up for your space and defend the house pride. It's missing right now.

A win would be nice to at least soften the blow on this disastrous season. Next 4 games - London, Erie, London and Saginaw. No easy wins in that group. I don't know what the record is for most loses in a row is but let's not try to break that record. This year has been bad enough. I'm sure the kids are feeling it. Be safe.

Players Definetly going thru the motions out there. Hard to stay motivated in the last few games with not much to play for other then personal gain. Also just not enough skill out there this season especially after the trade deadline.

Dont think were catching Niagara for the best chance at the #1 pick but im fine with it. Dont think there is a clear cut #1 this year anyways. Hope our scouts are crossing t's and dotting i's on this draft. Need to make sure this is a good draft and this first pick needs to be a differnce maker.

Should be another Barn Burner tonight. Hunters wont take it easy on us Spitfires and i wouldnt want it any other way. Hope to see a good effort this evening against are biggest Foes. Can't beat them on the scoreboard then better not make it easy on them on our home ice, hope to see players Finishing hits and playing hard hockey.

Go Spits!!

The top three, or even top four, have been back-and-forth since Christmas. Three forwards, one smaller D, could go anywhere depending on need. (Windsor needs F)

Do not take another small d !

It has set the Spits back for many years now.
Where you selected a dman 20th overall hardly sets a team back for years.
They did pick Ryan Ellis 22nd,2nd in the 2nd round and he worked out fine and he is considered small.
That being said I doubt they take a dman in the 1st round, picking 4th at worst,1 at best.
Now the 2nd round different kettle of fish, with 2 picks in the 2nd and they happen to be Niagara and Peterborough's so Windsor will 3 picks in the top 25 minimum that's a dream scenario in my view unheard of.

I think his point was taking smaller D period, and not directed at Cristoforo individually. Out of past 5 drafts including import drafts, only 4 D players are still on the current roster. London only has Alex Leonard under 6 ft. Size does matter overall. Ryan Ellis was a beast. Smaller height yes but solid as hell. Played physical, laid big time body checks and was a +52 with 89 points 2nd year in only 57 games.

Players that actually play defense would be a start.
Need a actual coaching staff

Coaching needs to institute good defensive schemes and enforce those who do not comply with some hard discipline. Sitting, drop in pairing etc. Neither has happened this year at all. That was obvious. Kids will get away with as much as they can to selfishly seek their own agenda. Really sucks if any of the other players are scolded for same offenses, and the fairness disparity begins.

Management needs to stop being cheap.

Most people may already know about Carson's hoodies. Great cause and good looking gear.
