When it rains it pours. Spitfires affiliate LaSalle had to forfeit their game.

When it rains it pours. Spitfires affiliate LaSalle had to forfeit game 1 of playoff series.

It says the game was not a playoff game, but "a glorified exhibition game".

Bold strategy.

Hope Davis is okay, he was one of the few bright spots this season. Without him it does increase our chances of a Top 2 pick. I think the Pete's will pass us, but I still don't think we can get Niagara bad, however… If it's still 40/30/20/10, we're in a good spot at 19.

I'm not sure what to think about the Newbury hire. Bowler was pressed hard to name an assistant. He found someone willing, and did. Did he know? Probably. I doubt it was dangerous to the players here from Newbury, he may have just been around it. If those allegations and suspensions held off a month, assuming the Spitfires will be doing something other than Torres as our sole coach next season, it's likely it never would have became Spits news.
I'm sure assistant options were limited. Can't imagine Newbury is back, even without the suspension.

Our Top 6 Group Now Is… Greentree, Abraham, Spellacy and then Smith, Morneau, Nesbitt?/Zhugin?. Yikes.
I don't hate the pond hockey games if we end up on the right side in a down year, but relying on offensive heavy systems with our current offense group is a bit brutal. You don't want to push Abraham/Greentree/Spellacy too hard especially with 2 of them seeming to struggle coming off long term injuries they sustained last year.

Ride it out, take the L's. Lean on Donoso a bit to save anything resembling confidence that Joey might have and get ready for the draft.

Uhhh. Go Spirit.

Fair enough. Shouldn't suspend someone for protecting themselves in that 2nd fight sam stoppage situation. Looks like they got it right then
I don’t know if I’d even consider any of them fights. Leg grab take-downs by Eichler and Christoforo (Looks like the Spits wrestling coach is doing good work, hopefully Newbury wasn’t handling those duties) and the biggest swing and a miss I’ve ever seen by Toure.

Cristoforo was given two for roughing so that wasn't even a fight.

Toure got a misconduct for persisting. Not sure I ever heard of that one.
Me neither never heard of that one.
Interesting occurrence the Chairot kid's brother plays for the Red Wings, Ben Chariot and he happened to be at the game.

Toure out all 3 games LBI and Davis confirmed out as well will test the poor defensive woes on a North road trip historically we have struggled with even when we had good teams.
