Costanzo has been a Jekyl-and-Hyde goaltender; some games are great, others are the complete opposite. The team has stated that he's been getting help working on a lot of different areas, including the mental side of things. He has the ability, just has to get it consistently, which can be a challenge. With that said, Froggett had a look in the OHL when they needed a backup, and he didn't look out of place. Altiman is an option but he's very small (5'8 160?). Given they've been going for the playoffs since the start of the second half, I'd also guess that bringing up either goaltender would have been a signal that the season is over. They haven't been ready to do that yet.
He can be called whatever u like. But his average n save percentage tells the story..

10 games to go and we sit in 18th place. Our schedule is not an easy one . 4 home and six away. Not sure what the schedule is for the Ice Dogs or Petes. If we win 3 games odds are we end up 18th. I can’t see either the Dogs or Pete’s winning 3 either. Then again those teams both have better coaching.
Niagara 10 games left, 3 against teams .500 or worse. Petes 11 games left, 5 games clubs .500 left. Spitfires 10 games left, 0 games left against teams .500 or below. With Bowler behind the bench defensive schemes are a back burner. Good chance we are 19th or 20th at best. Suits me fine for the lottery. I'm sure the players are not impressed with the latest Newberry scandal.

It must have been posted 30 times over the last year about Costanzo being the 5th best goalie but an .853 save% and a GAA of 5+ isn’t any more. In the OHL, the D in front of the goalie affects their numbers immensely but Constanzo hasn’t looked good any game I’ve watched him this year. You’d think if Frogett or Altiman were OHL ready they’d be up with the big club too.
I mentioned it a few weeks ago. Spits have a litany of issues facing them. Ranges from personnel behind the bench and on ice product. Goaltending has to be addressed because you can't just revamp the D in one offseason. Getting a backup goalie doesn't address the Costanzo issue. I think Costanzo will be back but he probably shouldn't be because Bowler is many things but creative isn't one of them.

From what I have been told by multiple people was that Newbury was well liked by the players.
Maybe he is well liked by 95% of the players, based on his apparent past it is the minority 5-10% where the issues lie. If accusations are true, you are riding a slippery slope by defending him or Bowler. If they are true as the investigation has shown, pending appeal, his days of coaching should be over at any level permanently. This isn't 15 years ago where hazing/bulkying existed and has since been outlawed. Why is Babcock out of work?

I mentioned multiple goaltenders and didn't refer to any of them as being "called" anything. I'm not sure what you're referring to here.

I still have questions regarding Newbury. How much was he involved? What part did he play in all of it? What did Bowler know at the time of the hiring? While the suspension is there, I'm not ready to throw pitchforks at Newbury because we don't have all of the facts.

Right ask what Dan Carcillo thinks of Newbury. I don't think it's a coincidence this stuff follows him around. I don't see the importance of if the players liked him. That's irrelevant when it comes down to this investigation.

Even if a coach didn't participate in incite the bullying, maybe was not even in the room at the time, but obviously had knowledge of what happened in the room, it is the same. They don't handl out suspensions for guilty by association. I defended Bowler until now. Many kids in this world commit suicide from being deemed as an outcast or bullied by the mob rules mentality. I have absolutely ZERO tolerance for any coach, manager , owner or player that has engaged and turns a blind eye to it. Impossible for Bowler to not wonder why a coach is suddenly available mid season and not wonder why. If he didn't check into it, still fired for stupidity in not doing so.

Absolutely; I'm very anti-bullying and the thought of it happening in the room annoys me to no end. I'm still asking the questions and not pitchforking Newbury without the facts. Something happened and he's being disciplined but that doesn't negate wanting to know specifics (which we may never know).

If the worst thing that Newberry did was only have knowledge of the event (s) and kept quiet about it, he still gets the fork both sides. His comment that "he looks forward to helping players to be good human beings off tge ice" is either total hypocrisy or an admission to past transgressions and an attempt to be better. Either way Bowler gets my ire for bringing him into the organization.

Oh boy, ill repeat. If you folks knew half of BB antics/behaviour/treatment of players you’d be asking for his head!!! Why does he struggle with player/personnel info from other teams/places??? Because he doesnt have many contacts that want anything to do with him!

If Bowler survives then this is what I have to say to the Savage's.

Somewhere
Donoso has not been good since joining the Spits. I think he has only 2 games out of 11 where he started and has allowed 3 or fewer goals. This gave not looking to good right now
