Here's how I look at this - they're two back of London, who has a game in hand. The Knights are in OS tonight, which is their GIH, then both teams play tomorrow on the road. Thursday's game then becomes super important and they've got 2-3 more between them down the road. I'm not exactly ready to say "they'll get second, lose in the first round, and alllll of this was for nothing."

I'm not throwing in the towel but they need to make a shift to ensure they are competitive when played tight. There is time till the playoffs to adjust but that time is now. Roster is set basically we cannot judge our goalies when they let 1 softie in a game when the rest off the defensively shits the bed game in game out. We know we'll face a hot goalie in at least in 2 rounds and need to be prepared to play that way successfully. I also want to see the PP be successful in tight games not just the blowouts. When are PP is rolling in a game the other teams back off of the bullying type play for fear of taking a stupid penalty. This team seems different since they clinched the playoffs.

London is getting destroyed by Owen Sound, so that's good. Edit: it was 5-0 OS, now 5-4.

Or, you can show me where stuff is and I can go from there. I do research in my day-to-day life so am happy to dig stuff up and look around if I have the tools. If you think I'm someone who's going to pick and choose, you're very mistaken.

As for the game tonight - they need to play better. Plain and simple. Offensively, they're not getting it done, and it's costing them defensively. Get back to the basics of what made them successful. That said, Sunday is kind of the biggest test at this point. We knew Ptbo would give them a serious game and we knew Ottawa would be a beast. Kingston should be a win but they have to want that now. Going home against London, losing four-straight, won't help anything.

One thing Savard has said over and over and over again is "play the right way." He's given them room to play a little more loose, such as the first game after the deadline when they were all excited about the new players, but his systems are very strict and effective. For the most part, the players have bought in.
Ya right

Thank you Owen Sound!! On the other hand, our "easy " game next week vs Flint beat North Bay tonight. No easy outs this year.

On the bright side Harrison has what 9? Points vs Flint in two games with the Spits sweater on?

He shows up for those ones!

I think I’d prefer a 2nd place finish. I don’t want this team to have that, you’re expected to win pressure. I’d rather them have that, go out and prove you’re Better than those guys mentality.

Sure the Western Conference regular season banner is nice, but if we don’t make it to the OHL final, who cares if we won the regular season.

Theirs 3 parts. Before the deadline, after the deadline and playoffs.

I’ll take an OHL Final Visit over a “Well they were in First” at the end of March.

2nd place probably means Sarnia in 2nd round. No thanks.

I have bad news for you Detspits. When you got wright it was seen as he was going there because you guys had a team that could win.

I know part of the mystique of Shane is whether was Windsor a last choice or what but the bottom line is that he could have chosen many other teams and chose Windsor.

That put you guys rightly or wrongly on the map as a contender.

Let's see if Marc Savard keeps pushing his personal agenda of full out offence, minimal defence and the 1a/1b garbage, also add his lack of sticking with any set line combination, literally 1 bad period or game and its completely new lines. it shows more about our coach then the players in my opinion, like keep losing the same ways and stick with the same gameplan? Continue to beat bottom feeder teams, who cares! I sure dont, cant win the games that matter most, which is all that will matters in the playoffs. I would think it should be time to adapt and figure things out, should have been done a long time ago. Delmore might be in charge of the Defence but at the end of the day Savard makes the final decision as the head coach, the shit travels down hill to the head coach. It's on Him, hes not playing the game no thats the players and goalie but he is the guy calling the shots and making there strategy and style of game. Good teams have clearly progressed during the season and are coming in with a gameplan and taking away our strengths now and were just not changing too much at all. We need to Start playing the game the right way, all out offence will not win any championship in any hockey league, look at the NHL, tell me how the OIlers and Leafs have fared the last few years, top heavy and full out offence with horrible team Defense and goaltending. It's just a recipe for disaster. Going to meet a better team in the playoffs that's well structured and better coached and that will be our season.

I really hope to see a different version of this team in not only this afternoon's game but for the rest of this season and heading into the postseason. We need to see something different, I love seeing goals but when you get shut down by the best teams, I think it's fair to say were not going to come out and run and gun vs these top teams. These are well coached teams, some of these other coaches have been around for decades now (ex: Hunters, Cameron) in this league and they prepare for battle, they also adapt and change gameplan if needed when you play different style teams. Anyways dont really care about the game to much today, this team has wider scale issues, I'm more excited to watch the two big showdowns next week vs the Knights and Sting, if we cant start winning those types of games then were going to be in tough come 2nd/3rd rounds of playoffs if were blessed enough to get that far.

Anyways hope we can salvage at least two points for this awful long road trip (just like the last).

Go Spitfires Go!!

Should be a convincing win. This is Kingston's 3rd game in the last 2.5 days. They're the lowest-scoring team in the OHL, even Niagara has more, this needs to be a dominating victory.
