Should not be at the back of his mind. JC is obviously the better goalie than Onuska and first place is on the line. If that's a coach's reasoning for playing a goalie with a 4.39 GAA instead of a top 5 goalie, then it's pure negligence on the coach's part.

Obviously first place is huge this year, could be the difference between playing Saginaw or Flint compared to playing Sarnia in the second round.
Dude pure negligence has the team 2 points away of being a #1 seed.

You seem to think #1 seed is imperative I don't think being a #1, #2 or #3 seed really matters all that much. because all 3 teams are good and all 3 teams are good enough to win a game on the road or lose a game at home.

When I say pure negligence, I mean based on his goaltending decisions. His overall coaching is solid, the player development has been great under Savard.

Costanzo in my opinion should be a no brainer as the starting goalie tonight........but we as fans have been shocked by Savard's decisions quite a few times this season. Clinching 1st tonight in the Knights home barn should be (You would think) all the motivation needed for the Spitfires!!

Stop your whining and crying about a guy who hasn't played a game for the team at all this year. He didn't get screwed he was put on waivers and 59 other teams never put a claim in on him and he went across the border.

Well the Spits did lose to the one team who hit it big at the deadline last year. None of the teams they faced in the playoffs were buyers either.

I liked Rychel for 5 years or so after 2011 not so much. I can still have an opinion correct???

Thompson won a Memorial Cup but never a playoff series and that's fine. You can parade that all you want.

I have said the goalie in net is immateral at this point for the Spits. The team itself has to have a better two way conscience in order to have success in win a championship. I have already said who I think is the best team currently in the west .
One,yes you can have an opinion, but so can I right?
Two I think it's very material who is in goal for Windsor at this point.
The numbers dont lie when 1 or other is in goal, win record, goals average ,save percentage and more importantly how the team plays in front of those respective goalies and we all see the difference.
Costanzo on a roll last 3 starts 1.66 average,.900 save percentage plus
and 3-0 record, while Onuska in last 2 starts 6.50 average, well below 900 save percentage, 1-1 record, Windsor won inspite of not because of,its clear who the better goalie is and has been period.

Actually weren't you the guy who last year after the trade deadline said the Spits were not a contender, how did that work out for you,and seeing u brought up Letowski, u didnt like Rocky Thompson and he won a Mem Cup in 1 of the 2 years he was here, how did that work out for you,you didn't like Rychel and he won 3 Mem Cups as GM,you didn't like Boughner and he won 2 Mem Cups,we could on and on,but I am not the one who brought up the past before last season, you did.
My view is one goalie from last year got screwed, and this year is no year to screw another especially when the replacement has been unfortunately very underwhelming this season.
Costanzo deserves to be starting goalie in playoffs period.
Everyone knows you and I disagree on everything, I could say the earth is round and you would say earth is flat, here is your chance to prove me wrong lol.
So Medina again...

Well i personally think Rychel was overrated. I didn’t enjoy Rocky but he did win when it mattered the most. As for Boogie i think DJ was a bigger reason for the success then Boogie was.
Dj was a great coach

I actually love Savard as a coach. I’d rather give up more goals than take a 1 goal lead and sit back in the third waiting for the other team to score.

I hope he sticks around for a while. The one thing I can’t wrap my head around is the Onuska favoritism.

Was he better than Medina in 21-22? Yes.
Was he better than Costanzo in 22-23? No.

Savard's one of the best coaches the club has had since the early WFCU Centre days. There's a vibe in the group, unlike anything I've seen before, and it's exciting hockey.
Savard is ok.
Other coaches well....

Costanzo in net. Dionico at forward. Davis and McManus make up the 4th line. A bit odd to have Harrison on the 3rd line again, but it spreads the depth. No complaints here.
I like it. Let’s go win the Western Conference!

Go Spits Go!

It only matters if you win. Windsor lost home ice to Flint and Flint had home ice in game 6 and didn't take advantage.
Good thing #30 for Windsor was playing allowing 2 goals on 33 shots ,both goals on the PP as Windsor won 3-2,then next game won game 7,#30 pitched a shutout stopped 38 shots in the win.
Just thought u needed reminding lol

Love the pivot from the poster who never directly responds to a post but shifts goalposts. Them calls out others for not answering a question lol. Entertaining.
Spits are in the driver seat. Play as a team, battle step up the GAF meter and the conf. Is theirs. Tonight or tomorrow.
The G situation will become clear after the weekend IMO.
I have a theory based on no info about the Gs. Just something I've seem a couple times on Jr teams at this level or 1 below.

Good luck tonight/tomorrow.
