4-1 SSM. This is just odd... strange bounces, out of sync offence, Onuska looks uncomfortable. This is one of those "when it's just not your night" games.
Maybe if we weren’t trailing two 6 minutes in the team wouldn’t have been scrambling so much. I don’t think they can get it settled down at this point. The team is frustrated, unlucky bounces, and none of those big saves we need to swing momentum.

Wright gets tripped which leads to a SOO breakaway and a goal, No penalty on the SOO player? Jokes. Savard is livid, and rightfully so.

Doesn't help when your goalie allows a goal on the first shot that a 10 year old would be able to save. Savard is still deciding who is playoff starter is though, what a joke lmao.

All comes down on Bowler and his inaction. Gotta feel for Onuska, not his fault the fan base has turned on him, it's on the staff and management for mishandling the situation completely and continuing to do so. You have a coaching staff without self-control and a GM that couldn't recognize it potentially being a problem when armchair fans could see this coming a mile away. We'll see if they can pull out some magic in the 3rd but the results of this game likely holds big implications down the line in playoff seeding/home ice, let alone who starts in the playoffs. Inexcusable decision in a game they need to win.

It's not on Bowler, he acquired a great goalie who is top 5 in GAA and save %. This is on a stubborn Savard who continues to start who is statistically one of the worst goalies in the league. The coach is costing his team games.

Such a weird, weird game. If Windsor plays like this, 9 out of 10 times they get the win. It's the bounces, the insane sliding around by Onuska, the out-of-sync offence. They can't buy a break right now. Props to SSM for playing well but... man...
Always something..

I agree with that but we knew prior to the deadline that the coaching staff was in love with Onuska no matter how poorly he played/well Constanzo played. This isn't a new thing, this was a problem identified by fans before the trade deadline. If the coaching staff isn't able to control themselves, it's on the GM to make that decision for them and remove their favourite toy. Should have gotten anyone, even leaving the OA spot open, Joe Ranger, whoever if it meant Costanzo would be starter without historical seniority playing a role.

Soo looks fine. Got some bad bounces, and everything is out of whack. Onuska’s sliding around out of desperation, and he’s failing miserably. He’s visually frustrated and in his head after 5 goals. None have been crazy good scoring chances other than the bounce off the linesman.

What did you expect having 7 OHL forwards, 7 D men, and a pair of Jr. B guys.

You can’t be chasing the game.
Guys you need will get gassed when you only have two lines that can score. It leaves your goalie out to dry. A goalie with diminishing confidence facing odd man rushes and breakaways because you have to push so hard.

This game isn’t on Onuska.
This game is on Savard for starting Onuska.

Your 17 year old goalie gets his first shutout, and is rewarded with 60 minutes on the pine before a long 6 hour bus ride

I don't think Bowler envisioned Savard being this absurdly stubborn. It's resulting in many losing respect for the coach.

Agreed, it's hard to get too upset at the team when considering they only have 7 forwards. The 3rd forward line is a jr. B player, a #6 d-man and Morneau, and no 4th line. Hard to win playing two lines for basically 3 weeks straight.

Is Bowler not Savards boss?
Buck stops at BB in this teams managerial set up. JMO.

( unless ownership is using BB as a puppet to roll out their player decisions, which I don't think is the case but absolutely could be wrong. If not it also falls on BB).

It’s more of Savards fault we’re down 5-1, not the refs.

It’s a lot easier to play the game down guys if we’re not chasing so many goals. 6 Minutes in, this game became the task of climbing Everest.

I agree. I don't think there's any question the team has been in a really tough spot with how injury depleted they have been (to a point where it's getting ridiculous), but jeez, coaching staff have got to make decisions to at least try and give the boys the best shot to win the game instead of making that goal any more difficult than it already is right now.

Listen if u think for 1 second BB doesnt have a say stop commenting here. This is on the entire front office. If they were hoping to help O along now what??? Hes just not the same as last year. Team plays differently in front of him. Now you’ve likely given away 2 critical points!! Im increasingly nervous going forward. To many injuries, bad breaks, goalie with zero confidence and an exhausted group of players. This could/should reflect very badly on the staff and BB!!

He has a say but it's hard to blame him because Savard either has something against Costanzo, or is just plain stubborn. Regardless it's on the coach for playing one of the worst goalies in the league when he is a top five goalie.
