Dionicio was shifted up to Forward, Greentree/Maggio/Wright got the last shift of the period. Looked to have a bit of a spark.

Onuska is playing debatably the best I’ve seen him this season. At minimum his best game since his return.

Day on Flint is playing a great game in net as well.

Savard really has no business running his mouth this game.

If they get SO tonight, they're still on pace for 324 goals, which is just seven shy of the 09-10 club. I don't think offensive comparisons are that far-fetched.
09-10 had defense.

Gotta give props to Day. 41 Saves on 42 Shots. Onuska played good, Day was phenomenal.

Hoping these guys get healthy. I didn’t see Martin at play a shift, and Peer never returned.

Not sure what’s up with Martin, situational? Spits ended the game with 15 of a possible 18 skaters.

Christopoulos had a good game. Got shut down on 3 breakaways.

Well the power just came back on. Good to know it was out in Flint all evening as well. Probably a good game to miss.
Spits dominated the 3rd, just couldn’t score. Outshot Flint 21-4 in the 3rd, with some quality scoring chances in the mix.

Got chippy towards the end, Dionicio to blame for that.

Not too bothered by that loss considering they played the last two periods with literally 8 forwards. They completely dominated the 2nd half of the game, tripling Flint in shots while playing with 8 forwards. Just one of those games where the puck would not go in the net. Christopoulis had 3 breakaways, just no finish in this game.

Some clown comments by the Flint announcer on Dionicio... Not a good look for that guy.

Could be down to 8 OHL forwards as yet another key player goes down with injury in Peer. Legit every game a different key player goes down with injury. Will likely be without Harrison, Peer, Abraham, and Spellacy. Gonna be hard to beat a hot Sarnia team with a short lineup, especially considering how often Sarnia is on the PP.

dionicio tried to be a "tough" guy tonight.

Well it’s off to flint where we’ll get banged around and probably scrape up two points, and be down another body for Sarnia.
Well, I was half right. Unfortunately the wrong half.

Maggio, Wright, Christopoulos, Maillet, Greentree, Smith, Morneau, Castle.
Our 8 forwards for tomorrows game. Is there anyone here that wants to debate that 2 of those 8 are 4th line guys with a healthy roster?

Likely Down Abraham, Harrison, Peer and Spellacy. TBD on Jodoin’s Illness.

I know it’s not ideal to use the Jr. B guys in a playoff push, but Davis, Martin and Stewart have been serviceable, and if we want to have lines one and two ever go out there and not be gassed, we’re going to have to utilize them.

Even if we put Dionicio or Jodoin (if healthy) up front, it puts us at 15 skaters unless Woodall remains up.

Impressed by his debut. Nothing out of this world, but looked responsible which I was surprised with due to his high point totals this season. Had a couple good defensive plays on Amadeus Lombardi.

I didn’t mind it. He just got our only goal 56 minutes into the hockey game. Try and fire up the Flint bench, get em to take dumb calls, get them off their game and catch up.

However, doesn’t help the PP went 0 for 6. I thought officiating was way worse tonight than yesterday, and it heavily favored Windsor. Still disagree on that Dionicio call tho ;)

Agree about the comment not bothered by the loss considering, after a bad 1st period,Onuska not withstanding, Spits the better team the last 35 minutes or so by far from a scoring chance perspective despite having 4 regular forwards out last half of the game, and 3 of them a point plus per game average, most teams by the way only have 3 total let alone 3 out of the lineup, Christopoulos 3 breakaways alone and missing on all 3 hasn't yet this year, Day for Flint the last 2 periods was the difference in this one, deserved the 1st star and the main reason Flint got 2 points in this one.
Happy Windsor didn't quit despite losing, hope it carries over.
Onuska 's best game in months.
Was pretty impressed with the debut of Carson Woodall on the D,looked solid not intimidated, played a solid calm game, too bad he cant play tonight if I am correct about the 4 game in 4 day rule, explains why Stewart and Davis sat out if they didn't they couldn't play today, which they can and probably will,Martin probably falls in same category as Woodall, even though he only played 1 shift, maybe 2, he wont be able to play tonight vs Sarnia.
Savard mentioned earlier that Harrison could return today, guess we will see, waiting for word on Peer,Jodoin too,.
Sobelev looked fine after missing 5 or 6 weeks nice to get him back in the lineup.
Nice to see London get hammered by Sarnia last night, cant get 2 points because of shootouts all the time lol
Big one tonight no doubt vs Sarnia.

Hey.... how early before the game does Windsors lineup get posted? This is my first time on another teams forum. If someone could post the lineup when announced it would be greatly appreciated.

Spits last year avoided the injury bug for the most part until later in the playoffs. Looks like this year they are not going to do that.
For me I've lowered my expectations. I would really prefer for them to get healthy for the playoffs and not worry as much about seating in the standings. A healthy Spit team can play with anyone. Guelph suffered the same fate a few years back and ended up in 4th. They also went to the Memorial Cup and won the league. Returning to good health was paramount for them .

Spits are 1 and 4 in their last 5. Another tough one tonight. Again setting my expectations low and wanting them to come out healthy.

Thanks for the updates last night. Even lost my phone for a bit.

Go Spits Go!!!

Approximately 1 hour before on twitter or maybe a bit earlier on the OHL site game preview.

Woodall played defense better than most of our regulars. Really impressed a few times where he and Sobey held the offensive zone for quite a long time. Maggio looks ether tired or just off a bit last couple of games. His effort appears there bit his speed is down a notch. Again he was targeted with shannigans after the play. Going to be a long night tonight it appears with the new look Sting and us haveing a depleted team. The Sting whooped London last night (thankfully) and North Bay last weekend. We only have 1 win in past 6 games. Lasalle is off tonight so hoping to get a couple of bodies to fill some shifts. One thing that was evident last night is when yiu are playing that short, keep your shifts short. Way too long. Takes way longer to recover from a 1 plus min shift than 2 30-40 second shifts. At the end it is still the same amount of ice time, just fresher shifts.

Ok so im back again….
Ive been pretty diligent watching the last bunch of games and been able to really watch tendencies. Im pretty confident as to my thoughts, if anyone cares lol.
First off, did last years team do this about the same time last season? Kinda go in the crapper with some off games and everyone got real nervous? Seem to think maybe Savard playing some head games.
That said yes the injury bug has bitten hard, is it bad luck or poor conditioning?
The D zone coverage is still brutal, id agree with a post days ago, Delmore would not be here next year! Onuska looks way better of late, thats good news.
Now the biggest issue i take away from watching? No push back, no toughness, no fear from other teams at all!!! This is huge, every single player is getting abused out there, hell even other coaches (flint) are running their mouths!! This is going to continue until a few of these guys push back, yep they might even need to scrap! Frankly dont care who it is either. At some point as a player you gotta be willing to stand up for yourself. People can whine, what if a star gets injured??? Lets be honest that is a likely possibility getting pushed around too, and guess what? It’s happening already, our injury list reflects that! Its only going to get worse teams smell blood! Thats why i asked for a nasty D man, some say Dionicio is that guy, well i havent seen it yet!! The team as a whole needs to toughen up. We can argue suspensions or injuries forever but like i said, injuries are happening from the abuse already, as for suspensions? Dont do anything stupid but sticking up for yourself has become a must!!
Fully healthy and with some self respect this team still has what it takes but its going to take a change of philosophy to get there!!!

We’re back to a healthy 7 D Men, and Woodall knocking on the door - who in a very limited sample, I think can hang on a 3rd D pairing.

Jodoin’s got a mean streak, if he’s gonna be a healthy scratch at all, he may as well drop the gloves first.

I like that the team has their emotions under control and are avoiding taking stupid retaliation penalties, but they can’t be so soft. Teams are making big hits, our guys are constantly banged up because of it.

Yada yada it’s not 1990-X or 2000-Y, but step the f up and standup for your teammates

I doubt from here on in Jodoin will be a healthy scratch, last night missed because of illness.
Hope he is good to go tonight

It's one reason I hate the three-fight rule. It limits teams at the worst times. That said, if I'm the coaches, I'm giving Jodoin the green light. Screw the suspension...
I think fight rule should be doubled make it 6.
Interesting I saw Pat McManus name on Spits list for tonight #98,19 year old Center from Belle River, toughest player there into MAA fighting from what I hear, would not be shocked if he dresses tonight.
Hopefully, Jodoin, McManus are in along with Harrison and Davis, maybe Abraham too ideally.
Peer,Martin and Woodall are out,Peer left rink last night with brace or sling from what I hear.
Now if Abraham is good to go, Jodoin might not play( illness),if not possibly Davis
Guess we will see
