Garbage call on Sobolev when you play Sarnia you also have to beat the refs, they get the benefit of the doubt in every game.
I mean he went right at his knees. It was a dirty little play that should've been called. They did miss a blatant interference on Dillingham tho haha.

Renwick holds Del Mastro for 5 seconds & they call a rough on us. So there's an even up if u want lol.

Is this referring to play at end of second?
Yah. 27 was holding him for a very long time. Del Mastro had his hands up & he was still holding him haha.

Not arguing the rough, but he wouldn't of swatted him down had the ref called the first infraction.

don't wanna argue. We got a lucky call then IMO u did. Ohl refs suck & seem to be getting worse by the year. Hopefully they let teams play more in 3 weeks.

Well I shut that off for the night, try next weekend I guess. Better team playing us before our injuries and Onuska is being Onuska. Guy wont make a save to keep the team in the game, and he let's in 1 or 2 weak ones and the confidence is sucked out of him. I honestly Appreciate Savard Coaching this team to a Finals last year and for his services this year how ever far this Squad shall be fortunate to make it but when he moves on to new coaching endeavours I wont be mad or sad about it, I'd be happy to have a new style or an actual structured system in place. Savard just frustrates the hell out of me with his decisions and style but I'm not saying he isnt a good coach or anything just not my style, very dumbfounded by some of his choices. Need a mirical of a 3rd period but i know that it probaby wont happen. Let's just hope they dont get pushed around and embarrassed, finish strong and with some pride.

some on here always like blaming the refs and saying they against windsor. It gets quite laughable on here.

I could see both getting called. DM gave him a good shot after. It was in front of me and "yikes."

We can all be like that at times haha. Trust me I've had some nights after LDN games where I'm convinced the league is fixed lmao.

Maggio is unbelievable. I don't remember him being THIS fast. Dude is crazy.

Gotta say.... McManus is a slick player. Good skater, bit of an edge.
It’s unfortunate McManus is noticeable, as a “hey you have any friends that wanna sub tonight?” Guy.

Refs are fine IMO. I didn’t like the Sobolev call, and Renwick could’ve been called for tying his man up for a bit too long, but I guess if you swing you’re getting called.

5 goals on 20 shots tonight for Sarnia… how many times does Joey to prove he’s the guy?

Good for Windsor that Sarnia stopped skating after the 5th goal. Helped Windsor out a lot.

It was going to be a difficult game to win with a full lineup but now I give us about a 10% chance of a win with this decimated lineup. A big reason Sarnia is difficult to beat is they by far have spent the most time in the OHL on the power play. They have a whopping 257 power plays compared to 197 penalties, a plus 60 differential. They regularly have two to three more PPs than the opponent. The Sting have had a stunning 24 power plays in their last 3 games.

Way to set the table lol.

If they get 2/3 more PPs than the opponent wouldnt the math suggest a plus 150-180 differential in PPs vs penalties?
Maybe i misread your #s but a plus 60 is about 1 per game. Add in context ( eg. Majors, short PPs or PKs......) and the story may change more.

Nope couldnt be true. Spits always get the short stick from the refs. Arent you reading here?
London on Thursday/Tonight......
Funny how often the stripes are called out as an excuse or crutch but never a benefit.........by a select few. The #s suggest otherwise. Hhhmmmmmm.

I have no idea how one of the least penalized teams (are they the least penalized in the West and OHL before tonights games?) in the league ever wins a game with the uphill climb, over broken glass, into a head wind, both ways.......

Well that was close with no cigar. 6 out of last 7 all loses is not where you want to be this time of year. Great game by Dionicio and Castle which was unexpected. Mcmanus is the type of grit we needed especially considering his size disadvantage. The way we let Sarnia score was more than just being short on the bench. Onuska did leave us in a big hole with a couple of softies. ughhhh. Scoring 6 only to lose is a knife in the heart game. Need to pull our belts tight quick. Maggio, Dangelis and Sobolev were all -4 tonight .

Windsor defensive coach needs to be taught how to actually coach defense.
he is clueless!!!!

Onuska wasnt really given a chance.
Defense was MIA.

I blame this loss on Savard by not having Costanzo start. Coaching is a big reason they won’t finish in first . Savard is losing the respect of the fans, I heard many discussing Savard’s goalie choice in the intermissions.

Anyways , Sarnia is nothing special, we had a depleted lineup and playing 3 in 3, and still scored 6 and outshot them 39-30 going with basically 2 lines. With a full lineup and equal rest the Spitifres would beat this Sarnia team in a playoff series. Maggio and Wright played 30+ minutes the last few games and were exhausted.

Not to mention setting a new all-time record for posts mentioning “3 in 3” and “depleted roster” over the last couple days.

lol I might have overdone things, but the depleted roster is absolutely a key variable in the recent losses, there is no denying that. Usually a 3 in 3 in no big deal, but it's a lot more challenging when you basically played two lines in three straight games.

If Joey was in net Spits would have won that game. Onuska was bad on the last 3 goals. The 5th was gad awful.
Sarina did not look that good in their own end . Not as strong as I thought they were. Spits had plenty of grade A chances. 3 posts and 6 goals so they can be beat, just not tonight. London looked better so it is going to be interesting.

Ya the Soblev penalty was real odd? Sarina player charges at him, Soblev ducks and he gets called. strange call for sure . Other than that game was called fairly well .
JRb players played very well. Definitely not out of place. some good prospects in the pipeline for next year.
Yes Christoforo threw a hit . There is hope for the D yet!
Tough weekend but now the boys get some well deserved rest .

Go Spits Go!!!
