If I had to choose between Wright or Mintyukov, I'd choose Mintyikov but unlikely Saginaw trades him to a division rival. The only way I see the Spitfires getting either would be trading Christoforo/Miedema plus picks, seems like too much.
You would have to trade Sobolev as well in the deal or release him.

Mintyukov is an import so that means finding a another partner for Sobelev. We already have decent offense from Renwick and Cristoforo. As good as Mintyukov is do we need another pinching D with the D already deemed the weak spot along with goalie B

Perfect - so if that’s the case Bowler would be crazy to give those players up for Shane Wright.

I suspect you guys don’t want Shane Wright then?

There's no way I'd give up Cristoforo at this point. In due time, he could lead all D-men in scoring (league-wide). Miedema would be a hard sell for me, too. He hasn't scored in a month but he's pushing a 60-point pace right now. With the number of snipers we have, he's in for a big second half.

I don't disagree but the elephant in the room is still goalie B. We have 9 03's on the roster now. Ton of off-season trades coming will recoup many picks. Sobey and Harrison could be returned. Sobey ready for the AHL? Better off leading the D another year here for his development.

Sell heavy next year to set the 05 06 core for a great 24-25 25-26 team. Next year we're likely be watching the teams challenging for the mem cup bid. Buy all in this year and you likely could have only a 1 year rebuild.

Unless things change, that'll continue until the season is done. I'm not ruling anything out between now and noon tomorrow, though.

Next season is definitely rebuild. However, after this season and last, I don't think you'll have any complainers about that.

Reminder we have 1st round Abraham could be dealt. We've traded many 1st rounders in the past. Staios , Villardi, Stanley, Ho-sang, Maletta, Weberman, Brassard. Those all in the last 12 years. Also consider we missed a 1st round pick in 2013 sanction. Trading 1st rounders nothing new to the Spits. I'm not suggesting Cristoforo but Miedema and Abraham would be another 2 players kingston could use for their bid also 1ST rounders

Personally, I truly don’t. As Spits said Mintuyokov… different scenario. If we’re spending big, I’m looking to Saginaw. However, Import spot now with Dionicio.

Plus Division. Plus Saginaw appears not to be selling. Strange call IMO with them having a great chance at the bid.

I think this team is what it is.

I’m sure the guys are all ready for noon to hit tomorrow

How long is Savard going to hang around here?? I'm sure that 2 long playoff runs, even if they don't win the cup will look more impressive on his resume. He is offense first guy and a someone like Wright would be almost as good as having Johnston back. Adding Wright would keep him off another competitor, bring in more fans $$$ sets up the Savages nicely for another sale attempt. Profits made in the playoffs. Just saying business this year may trump the next couple of seasons.

Adjusted the picks per our last three picks (unsure how correct the database is) and there doesn't appear to be enough to get Wright.

Thinking out loud... would you deal Sobolev + Miedema or someone for Minty?
The Spirit may be interested if they thought Sobey was back for sure as an OA. Hate to see Sobey's checking go but that would bring a new top scorer ahead of Maggio as a D. Ouch.

I was merely pointing out we need a G. I don’t think we need Wright and the cost is too high. Zhigalov and Roger or Hache would have been the play before the Nia deal. But that ship has sailed.

What would be ++?
More lower picks (that's all we have) or rights to Gavin McCarthy maybe?

or Tanner Winegard

Would give them 3 possible RD's.

A reverse Rychel (rights to players) is an interesting thought.
