IMHO our backup goalie will play few games in the remainder of the season (whoever he is) unless we trade for a top notch goalie.Chances of that are slim and none. If we trade /waive our present back up and don’t replace him with another O/A goalie we can use that O/A slot to add some experience/grit and at little cost. It’s a bit of a gamble but we’ve had success on the waiver wire before. Once again I’m not sure of our card situation. I hope we have at least 2 left, you never know who might become available at the final deadline…

Pretty sure Windsor has 3 cards left
so that's not an issue its if they 1 or 2 them will be utilized.
Joe Ranger has had a bad year only a bit better then Onuska ,now if he were 19 I might take a chance on him,an OA even though he had a great year last season 2.54,I would want to know about any possible health issues ,dont want to swap out if that's the case.
Is it worth a chance possibly

The difference between Sarnia and Windsor being all-in is this: Sarnia has traded their version of Miedema and Christoforo, Abraham, and depleted their draft picks. Windsor depleted their draft picks but kept their best young players.

Also, 3 of the 4 players Windsor acquired will be back next year, for Sarnia maybe one of them is back. Basically next year Windsor will be able to recoup all assets traded while Sarnia won't . Sarnia will be at 15 win team next year lol.

Given Sarnia's lack of success over the last decade, I'm not sure people will mind as long as they have a decent run.

Agreed, they have now traded their 2020, 2021, 2022 1st round picks and have an empty cupboard. They will almost be a jr. B team next year.

WINDSOR
In the Wright sweepstakes does Barrie decide to go for it or sell Clarke now that the Petes drastically added, Ottawa added Morrison. Is Ottawa done yet, does London have the assets for Wright? London has already dealt a pile of picks for Dickinson plus dealt picks for Winterton and Humphrey as well as their 1st rounder. The asking price for Wright is obviously crazy as other teams look to be moving away from the thought as these recent trades have been finalized. The price may drop. Also it was reported he was meeting with his family and the Frontenacs to provide his feelings of where he ends up. I'm sure the Kraken have some input as well.

In theory, London has the assets for Wright. They have 2023, 2025, 2026 2nds, plus four 3rds, plus Barkey or Dickinson if they really needed to. Barrie has the most picks and could throw six 2nds, Beaudoin, or even Akey and get him.

Sounds like Wright is off to Barrie to be honest - nothing official… yet.

The price for Wright may go down. Teams are spending their assets elsewhere and no longer have the assets to acquire Wright. Fewer teams bidding could reduce the price. Kingston may have overplayed their hand. Wright will still be moved to the highest bidder, but that highest bidder has a whole lot less competition. Also, with so many team stocking up, getting Wright is no guarantee of a title.

I can see Ottawa, Peterborough, Barrie and North Bay in the East, and Windsor, London, Sarnia, Kitchener and Saginaw having a shot at winning the league. Therefore, getting out of the 2nd round will be a challange for all.

It‘s disturbing to read the wordage used in these posts and I pray the players aren’t reading these. After what happened just recently with Kazbekov only weeks ago, I read so many of you are “sorry” and acknowledged how hard you all are on these boys. It doesn’t seem like that’s true.

Yes they are starved for a couple rounds of playoffs and definitely were aggressive in going all in.
I say why not. Gotta try something. If it works they'll be hereos If not.......hard days ahead but I like the gamble.
But ya gotta shoot to score.

Crazy compared to the last 2 years.

Dickinson should be a non starter with what they paid to bring him in this year. I guess they could add a couple more bodies to offset the picks. They have some depth ohl young talent. Barkey, Cowan,Crane, and a few others but....
I just can't see LK paying up for Wright But again Sarnia has added a boatload of talent and the pool left has gotten so small and if they were in on Harrison one would think they are still looking. ( I posted here pre trade I'd like to see Windsor get involved in Harrison. Probly gets the front office staffs blood flowing lol. Did Hunter up the price on BB or did BB outbid and spend where he did to keep him from LK. Love it either way)
LK probly added the least of the 4 so far that added in the West but also were on the biggest team heater.
1st n 2nd rd could have some very disappointed teams n fans

We seem to forget that players are humans and that actual real life is involved. If that makes me soft or woke, then... oh well.

I was just saying earlier today that I'm glad Windsor got their stuff out of the way this week. It lets us kind of sit back and watch the madness unfold.
