WINDSOR
The picks alone would put Windsor out of the running and there's no way they're giving up Miedema AND Cristoforo.
No but they could go Dangelis and Miedema plus a couple of later picks to bolster kingston's cup bid. Age bracket perfect for next year for Kingston. The other question is Clarke and DelMastro. If all 3 big fish are available than that could lower the costs of Wright or one of them.

Assuming the price is three 2nds, three 3rds, and either an elite 05 or 06, or even both, Windsor can't touch that. They don't have the picks now, which is fine, but they would have to compensate for that elsewhere. That likely means giving up both Miedema and Cristoforo, which would be a huge mistake.

IF the price comes down to, say, Miedema + mid round picks, then it's possible. However, given other teams have oodles of 2nds/3rds, I doubt it happens.

Any healthy scratches tonight could tell the tale if more is coming or the possibility. Heck they could package Abraham in there as well. The team hasn't struggled without him.

Let me start by saying i in no way want to trade Christoforo but if it brought a OHL title and Mem Cup would it really matter if he was traded?
Now if he was traded and they win only a round or 2 then it was horrible to trade him. Like i said i don’t want to trade him.

Remember Rychel was famous for also dumping players for a pittance the following year to a team he traded with the year before. Kinda of those gentlemen agreements that are not " official " and we would say that must have been part of 'that " trade from last year.

Love that offer. Kingston gets a good defenceman which they will need for next year absolutely and they get a star young player. Imo that would be an amazing trade. And you guys might not have to give up too many picks if those two are involved and you keep cristoforo so it would work out.

I doubt you guys will get wright. I feel like he’s definitely going to either barrie or Peterborough to be with one of his buddies but personally I’d send wright to Windsor for sure. As that would be the best trade package.

At the end of the day though wright is picking where he will be sent and I doubt he says no to one of his buddies especially when both of their teams are contending

Would it matter this season? No. Would it matter for the next three? Yes. Can we win this year without dealing him? Yes.
Thing is you don’t know if they can win or not with him just like i can’t say they would win if he was traded.

Sometimes you deal for profits or keeping a player off your opposition. Does Wright on the roster sell tickets. He'll yes. Fringe fans would come to see him. I'm not saying we need him. But I don't want to see him in London. Mctavish was a big difference last year.

I don’t want to see him in London either. But if he goes to London hopefully we beat them like we did when they went and got Taveras

Ask a Leafs fan if they could win the cup but would suck for sure the following 3-4 years they would all be takers. NO DOUBT. It was once a wish to think the Spits would win a Memorial cup. Those 3 cups still smooth the rough years in between. The OHL title is like the president's trophy. No one remembers or cares.

I'm pretty happy with the changes to the team, notably the deletion of Hebek. This is going to be a difficult team to beat in the playoffs. At the same time I'm a little dismayed about spending all those assets and not acquiring any of the top players who are returning from the NHL after the World Junior tournament. Those are the guys who make a difference every year. Time will tell if it matters again.

This would have been a perfect weekend to rest Onuska. With a game every other day Costanzo would be fine. Onuska needs time to rest and instead they play him .🤷

Might be giving JC Sunday's game. I know that after Wednesday's game, Savard said they didn't want to just ignore what Onuska did last season (though, it was said with some hesitation).
